- Lambay Festival – This festival has been going on for hundreds of years, celebrating the beginning of hunting and gathering season. Today, it is a celebration of spring.
- Pagdiwata Ritual Festival – This is a festival which is celebrated by the Tagbuana. It is intended to express thanks to the deities and is also a time when the local people ask those deities for assistance in healing the sick. People with serious health conditions sometimes come to the area during this time but they pose no serious threat to travelers interested in enjoying the festival.
- Tarek Festival – For the Tagbanua, the Pagdiwata festival is a time of somber celebration. In contrast, the Tarek Festival is a lively celebration. It takes place around the same time but is the dance portion of the annual event.
- 2. Cadlao Challenge of El Nido, a 2.5km Swimming race from an island to the mainland, will be held at the end of September. 2008.
