“Fantastic”

First trip to New York not sure what to expect - hotel in perfect location for all sights, room was a deluxe on 6th floor facing 44th street, clean, quite spacious as far as rooms go, bathroom very nice and spacious, nice touch - fresh coffee in reception every morning so you can nip down and bring back to room. Staff helpful, polite and courteous. Did not eat in hotel as wanted to experience the true New York, (want the best breakfast ever go to Pershing Square opposite Grand Central). Cannot fault the hotel there are bigger hotels with better views but the Iroquois gives you the personal touch which matters. Will go back there without a doubt.

My young daughter and I stayed at the Iroquois for a trip to NYC and we were extremely pleased. The rooms were clean, the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly and the location was perfect. We were only a couple of blocks from Times Square yet the hotel was quiet and peaceful. They even left some goodies in our room for my daughter. We would definitely stay here again.

“Home away from home”

The Iroquois

We searched expedia for the perfect hotel while we were in New York. We looked at the reveiws and judged the Iroquois the hotel that meet our desires. We wanted a hotel close to times square yet within walking distance to as many places as possible. We liked the charm of a vintage hotel which protrayed the romance of early era. Our hopes were more than meet. The hotel is smaller, rooms are smaller than the newer Ritz but the charm and the hospitality are beyond compare. We stayed one night at the Ritz for the fireworks and were so glad to come home to the Iroquis the next day. We missed the personal touch, we missed our friends at the Iroquois. The staff had nothing of the forced friendlyness we have found at other hotels.

The rooms were beautiful, the bed was a dream, this was the perfect place to come back to after a wonderful day of exploring New York City.

Marga Snyder was spectacular as the concierge, she researched our desires for tickets and shows, booked events and gave us information and followed up on all bookings. She also gave us information of other events that we might be interested in. We greatly appreciate her effort, she added so much to our vacation.

“About What You Pay For But Not More”

At about $400 for a Saturday night stay, my expectations were pretty high for the Iroquois. While it didn’t disappoint, it didn’t exceed either. I can’t quibble with the location; it is in the Theater District without the cacophony of Times Square and provides easy walking to great restaurants and to Grand Central Terminal. The room was about as small as a luxurious queen-size bed would allow and yet there was plenty of closet space (?). The only common area is the “library” which the hotel describes as “cozy” – “cramped” might be another word one would use.

“An Excellent Hotel”

The Iroquois

Stayed six nights on business. The hotel is an oasis of calm in hustle and hassle of Manhatten. The staff is excellent. The rooms are clean and well kept. A good nights sleep every night.
