“Fabulous, glamorous and over the top”

Bellagio Las Vegas

We stayed at the Bellagio from August 30th to September 2nd. Upon arrival, we were very pleased with the gorgeous decor and lavish common areas. Although the check in process was a little lengthy, the staff was very pleasant and we were glad to get up to our room and get settled. The room was AWESOME. It was spacious and very comfortable - the window treatments were on an electronic switch which was very different and convenient. The bathroom was beautiful and over the top with a grand wood and granite double vanity. Next to it was a huge soaking tub and on the other side of the room was a shower sized for a small army.

The hotel had so many dining options to choose from including a chocolatier with the world's largest chocolate fountain. Everywhere you looked there was sophisticated glitz and glamour; exactly what you imagine for Vegas. The location was PRIME. The Bellagio connects to Cesar's palace which was awesome as well. Across the street is Paris, Bally's and the Hard Rock; within walking distance to all the best Vegas has to offer.

The pools were amazing. There was one large pool along with 5 or 6 other smaller pools which all included elborate fountains. There is waitress service so you have drinks delivered right to your chair. We spent each day during the hottest hours lounging by the pool.

My only "complaint" was that is was VERY expensive. A beer was $7 and a mixed drink was from $12-$15 each. Breakfast at the buffet was $65 for 2; however, it was amazing including king crab legs and champagne. You just need to be prepared for these kinds of costs and you'll have a great time.

When we arrived the staff were great, trying to get us checked in straight away. The airline lost our luggage so we had no change of clothes or toileteries ,so we let them know when we checked in.The hotel was amazing and well looked after. The room was big and overlooked the beautiful fountain and on our bed we had all the toiletries that we needed to get thru to the next day.The resturants were nice and food great but a bit pricey. We stay 8 nights and had a great time.

“Absolutely Loved It”

I have always wanted to stay at the Bellagio, so had very high expectations - and they were met!
The check in was quick and pleasant, the room they assigned us was great, although as I had seen my friend's room with a better view I asked to move. They obliged, however I moved to a smoking room - if you're not a smoker DO NOT do this, it was the only bad thing, and I brough it on myself.
We ate breakfast at Cafe Bellagio, massive portions and really good service. The pool area is great, with ice water machines strategically placed, and plenty of sun loungers.
We had drinks in one of the bars and watched Paris and Nicky Hilton walk past.
I would love to go back.
Tips:
If you get a Gran Canyon tour do not take the 15 hour coach tour, either do the shorter tour, or drive yourself. The Grand Canyon is amazing, being on a coach for 9 hours is not.
Eat at Isla inside TI, the best mexican food I have ever eaten, great service (vegetarians - only 1 or two options, but once she sussed out I was a vegetarian she made a change to something to avoid me unwittingly eating animal fat, I wouldn't have known and I really liked the attention to detail this showed).
I have seriously been trying to organise another trip to the Bellagio, that's how much I loved it!

The Bellagio In Las Vegas was more then I had expected for the price I paid. I love the Lobby and the Venitian glass work in the Hotel. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The restaurants in the hotel were good, but not great. The pool was very nice. I would stay here again but I want to try the Wynn hotel next.

“Bellagio Las Vegas - NO MORE”

Bellagio Las Vegas

Oct 14, 2008

The weekend of September 26th, we were in Las Vegas for 3 nights at the Bellagio celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday. This was a very special occasion so I made my travel plans months in advance through the American Express Platinum desk, I wanted everything to go perfect and we had stayed at the Bellagio several times and were pleased with the hotel.

My request was very simple two non smoking rooms for me and my family and I also requested that a welcome gift be waiting in our room to surprise my wife as she walk in, I would pay for the gift (strawberries or a bottle of wine). When we arrived as we checked in I discreetly reminded the front desk clerk of my request. To my disappointment when we walked into our rooms they were both in the smokers floors and no gift, I called the front desk and explained to them that we suffered from sinus and allergies and that we specifically had requested two non smoking rooms I was then told that Bellagio’s policy does not guarantee non smoking room and that no other rooms were available, after long discussions with the front desk I called the American Express Platinum desk and asked them to handle it, we were then told by the hotel that only one of us could be moved to a non smoking room, to our dismay they moved us to another smoking room in another smoking floor and of course non welcome gift for my wife. I complained again and again I was told that they did not have any more rooms and that it was my fault that I had agreed to be moved to that room.

Tire of holding on the phone with the front desk and dealing with rude hotel management for hours we decided to stay in our ashtray smelling rooms and went to have dinner, I asked the hotel management to please deodorizes our rooms but they never did. After we came back from dinner to our room we realized that the air conditioning in our room was not working, so once again I complained to the front desk and spoke to the hotel manager. The hotel manager then agreed to move us one more time to another room, after moving 3 times me and my wife finally got a non smoking room, the rest of my family had to stay in a smoking room for the rest of our stay.

We found the hotel management to be rude, condescending. Not once they apologize for all of our troubles and ruining our weekend. The welcome gift that I requested for my wife never came and I finally gave up. We have filed a complain thought the American Express Platinum desk and they are handling it . We used to be big fans of the Bellagio but no more, we go Vegas 3-4 times a year and stay at different resorts but we will not be staying at the Bellagio any time soon, Bellagio does not need our business and we don’t need the aggravations. We also found that the rooms are showing their wear and tear and showing their age.
