“Bellagio: Loved it.”

Bellagio Las Vegas

The bellagio is a luxurious oasis in the middle of Las Vegas. I loved just about everything. Our room was large, with two queen beds, on a non smoking floor. The amenities at the hotel were wonderful - I had an aromatherapy massage at the spa that was just amazing - and made use of the spa sauna and whirlpools as well. The swimming pools are beautiful and relaxing. The buffet was excellent despite long lines. Dinner at FIX was yummy. Dinner at Olives was fantastic - with a table right on the balcony edge looking over the dancing fountains - it doesnt get much better! O was the most amazing show - I could have gone and seen it again the next night I loved it so much!
The only small things that could be improved:
- check in is a zoo. Are they trying to emulate Europe where no one can line up? It really needs a system in place as things were getting a little heated ahead of us with people cutting in line etc.
- There are no coffee making facilities in the room. Lets face it: Las Vegas = late nights. I would have liked a cup of coffee before I had to shower etc. Most hotels I stay at have a small coffee machine, coffee, and creamer in the room. Not too much to ask.
- The shower poured water out onto the floor - we had an accessible unit so I dont know what the other rooms are like, but it became a bit of a hazard and we used all our towels mopping up the water.
- Its vegas, so its very smoky. Our floor was nonsmoking but you could still smell smoke in the halls. In the casino was very smoky. And of course you have to walk through the casino to get to your room, the pools, the restaurants etc.

But overall, I'd go back, its lovely. The lake is beautiful, hard to believe its in the middle of the desert. The location is great, you can walk to lots of other places on the strip.

The conservatory had just switched to its fall decor and it was gorgeous.

“Fantastic hotel, loved every minute there”

We stayed for only one night when we first arrived in LA on our tour of California. I had always wanted to stay here but as my Son and his girlfriend were joining us in Vegas, the Bellagio was a little too expensive for them. My husband and I managed to arrive a day earlier and treated ourselves, fantastic price $180 dollars for a Fountain View room. We watched the Fountain show which plays every 15 minutes during the evening for over 1 1/2 hours from the window of our room on the 16th floor with the music playing from our TV. The hotel bars and restaurants are beautiful, the lobby and Conservatory are stunning. The following morning we decided to sit by the pool until we had to check out at 1 pm. The pool area is stunning and very very relaxing, clean and up market. Having worked for a major hotel chain in the UK for many years, I can honestly say we have nothing to match the Bellagio here in the UK. Highly recommended

“Pure indulgance..............”

We have stayed in many LV hotels over past years. This one was on our "must try" list for a long time, and it did not disappoint! The place was amazing and we were lucky enough to be given a lake/fountain view, pretty much in the middle of the hotel, and we did not even ask for an upgrade!
Anyway, after this great start, things just got better. Our room was spotless and super large! We swiftly set 2 chairs by the window and took in the amazing view!
After we returned from an eveing show, we found that our bed had been turned - what a nice touch!
Very, very impressed with this hotel. Look forward to staying there again if/when we return to Vegas.

“The Good, The Bad (not so good), and the Ugly”

Bellagio Las Vegas

4 of 5 stars
Denver, Colorado

I have mixed "emotions" about the Bellagio - First,

The (Very) Good

-Paid a very reasonable price - about $142 per night (without tax) with a AAA discount:

-Quiet room and I slept like a baby:

-Newly renovated room showing no signs of wear - large and comfortable:

-Lovely facility - is "classier" than the majority of other hotels on the Strip:

-Great pool ambience - no kids screaming, drunks yelling, etc

The Bad (Not so good)

-No coffee or tea in the room - I'm sure Bellagio wants us to pay the greatly inflated prices for beverages offered in its various establishments:

-No body wash in bathroom - again - I'm sure Bellagio wants us to pay for this in the varios "spa" related stores in the hotel

The Ugly (Very, Very Bad)

-I have never witnessed the kind of mass chaos evident in Bellagio's lobby during the check-in process. Hoards of humanity waiting to be checked in by an obviously inadequate amount of hotel check-in personnel. I waited over 45 minutes to get my chance to check-in - I felt as if I were in a bag check-in line at the airport. Horrific and unecessary. The check-in personnel acknowledge the persistent problem and have alerted management - to no avail apparently.

Overall, I liked Bellagio. My room was quiet and comfy. The facility was well-maintained. I walked through every hotel on the Strip and the only other resorts comparable (in my opinion) were the Wynn Las Vegas, The Palazzo, and Caesars Palace. Aside from the brain damaging experience at check-in, I would return - provided that I, again, could receive a low nightly hotel rate. I would not pay $200 a night or more for a room here - then again, I would not pay $200 a night or more for any room in Las Vegas.

P.S. - Go and see Cirque's Love at the Mirage - it's amazing for those who lived through Beatlemania and those (such as me) who weren't born in time!!!!

“Birthday trip.....”

Bellagio Las Vegas

5 of 5 stars

Just returned from celebrating my 40th Birthday in Vegas with friends.

Decided on the Bellagio due to location and recommendations. Despite some of the previous reviews about check-in, on our arrival (4pm on a Friday) we only had to wait a few minutes to check in and get our room allocated. We decided against the $50 upgrade trick, and had pre booked lake view rooms (worth every penny).

We found all the staff to be friendly (with the exception of the manager of the Bank club). The dealers at the blackjack tables varied in personalities from 'normal' to major entertainers. Never any air of snobbery and alway happy to help you. The waitresses were efficient around the tables too.

We eat at Olives one night, the reviews between our group varied from fantastic to dissappointed. The hotel bars are great, especially the terrace of the Fontana Bar.

The pool area is good, however it does get very busy and finding a sun lounger did get difficult. There are several large jacuzzi's which were fun to sit in with a pool side beverage!

The hotel is very grand and luxurious and the fountain show really the most impressive show on the strip.

Booked 'O' directly at the hotel on the night we wanted to see it, however only limited view seats were available at this stage. Despite the hype it wasn't really our thing and we'd wished we gone for a musical instead.

I've heard stories of the hotels pumping oxygen into rooms to keep the punters going. This seemed to ring true as we all struggled getting a goods nights sleep, depite the comfy beds. Maybe we were too hyped up or jet lagged?

In all a great hotel and having compared with most of the others on the strip we felt really pleased at having made this choice. We would return each day and instantly feel back at home.

Highly recommend the helicopter tour of the grand canyon. Expensive but an awesome experience.
