This hotel is fabulous. In terms of the setting, location and the facilities there can be no complaint.

I am however amazed at the different charges for every little item that you might normally expect with a 5 star hotel even to the point of charging $25.00 to use the Gym!!!

I was impressed overall by the hotel but will not be staying again as I do not believe it represents value for money - 5 star is expensive but you expect to get what you pay for.

Stayed here for three nights in August had some trepidation after reading different web reviews of how it has suffered over the years. I couldn't disagree more, very clean room, bathrooms were very luxurious all marble tile and large. We had a king bed with a view of the pools. The hotel was very busy and we were at the pools for at least part of all three days very relaxing. expensive drinks at the pool bar but very tasty. Very hot in August but we expected that. not much of a gambler but we enjoyed the atmosphere of the casinos. didn't use many of the hotel services but the room was cleaned and picked up every day. totally enjoyed the stay would definately stay here again!

“Fantastic hotel”

We arrived late, tired and slightly stressed after a long trip from the UK. Check-in was actually not as easy as it could have been. We had wanted two non-smoking rooms with 2 doubles, but they only had 2 king rooms on a smoking floor left. We were non too chuffed, but that is where the sour note ended.

The rooms were lovely, only had a minimal scent of cigarettes, and the roll away that we needed was already in the room by the time we arrived there.

We ordered room service which was prompt, delicious and delivered with a smile. The rooms were quiet, and very comfortable, but it was the hotel as an overall experience that really made it special.
It truly is fabulous from the moment you arrive and walk into the lobby. There are shops, restaurants, an atrium with a garden, lovely pools, and of course the casino. We didn't go to the casino, as we were with our children, but it was HUGE. The hotel is immaculate, but not stuffy or pompous.

We were only at the Bellagio for a few days, but it had a great impact on us and we can't wait to go back. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Vegas.

“Last time at the Bellagio”

Bellagio Las Vegas

This was at least my fourth stay at the Bellagio and I've decided it will be my last. I travel to Las Vegas at least once a year for a big convention and have had the opportunity to sample several of the big hotels. Last year I stayed at the Wynn but decided to return to the Bellagio this year as I've always enjoyed it.

I have never understood how it can take so long to check people into a room - there were 5 people ahead of me in line and it took almost 45 minutes before I made it to the front of the line! None of the other lines looked to be moving any quicker.

This year, I was put in a room on the first floor above the casino overlooking the HVAC system which I'm guessing was exchanging air from one of the hotel's kitchens as every night my room smelled like charbroiled steak.

The big problem was the airconditioning. When I checked in to the room the AC was set at 60 degrees but the room was closer to mid 80's with only a warm air weakly blowing. I called and a repair person was sent, it seemed to improve slightly but during the night it was hot and stuffy. I called again on day 3 as it was considerably warmer again but other than changing the filter the guy told me there wasn't much they could do as it was really hot out! Helloooo it's Las Vegas! He offered to send me up a fan.

There is no wireless internet in the rooms. To add insult to injury you need to purchase an ethernet cable from the minibar for $13.99 if you want to access the internet at all. Who carries ethernet cables anymore? Wake up Bellagio it's 2008.

On the plus side the beds are very comfortable. Vegas is hard on rooms - my non smoking room had multiple cigarette burns in the carpet and one on the actual bathtub. The armoire that houses the tv and closets is not designed very well - you can't sit at the desk and watch the television. To use the full length mirrors you have to almost get inside the closet itself.

There is too much competition now and I'll be going elsewhere in the future.

We stayed at the Bellagio from August 17 to August 22, 2008...and had a WONDERFUL time.

Check-In: We stood in line for 10 minutes before we reached the Check-In desk (not bad at all). We had booked a Spa Tower room with a partial lake view. The guy at the front desk spoke with his manager (without us asking) to see if he could get us a better room, and he delievered! He came back and advised that instead of being on the 6th floor, we would be on the 25th floor with a full view of the lake!!! We gave him a $20 tip for the effort.

The Room (#25636): One word - AMAZING. Spa tower room, king bed, full view of the fountains, seperate shower and tub, double vanity, well appointed room, sheets were comfortable and soft, had amazing sleeps on the bed. There was a box of chocolate covered strawberries left for us upon arrival...it was just a really special touch.

Maid Service: We left a tip for the maid each morning before we left the hotel. We left $2 on the pillow for her. When we returned to our room each afternoon, it would be spotless. The maid would even tidy up our toothbrushes and cosmetics that we left on the bathroom counter. We would shower in the afternoon, and get ready for our evening out in Vegas. When we would return back to our room, our bed would be turned down, and chocolates left on the side tables.

Wedding Day (August 18, 2008): I had the Bellagio Salon do my nails (toes), Make-up and Hair for my wedding....and what can i say, it was the best choice i have EVER made. They were so fantastic and so polite. Their attention to detail was appreciated. They really made me feel SPECIAL. The Salon itself was HUGE. There must have been 30 different hair stations, 10 makeup stations. It was a wonderful experience, and i would happily recommend this salon to anyone getting married in Las Vegas.
We were married at the top of the Stratosphere, at the Chapel in the Clouds. The ceremony was perfect (just my husband and I went down to Vegas to get married). It was very special just having him and I there, reciting our vows to each other. The photographer was PERFECT, I'll post some pictures with my review later on.

Ok...Back to the Bellagio Review....

Pool(s): Amazing. Nice and quiet, not many kids around...good drink service...I recommend tipping $1 per drink, you'll get better service this way.

Food: We ate at OLIVES on our wedding night, and they treated us like royalty. We got a table on the outside terrace overlooking the fountains, we had the BEST seats in the house. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was VERY romantic. It really was the perfect place to celebrate our marriage.

Shows: We saw Mystere and Zumanity. Both were really amazing shows. I prefered Zumanity as it was more of a sensual show, it was great for couples, and the pre-show was HILLARIOUS! There was some nudity, but it didn't bother me at all. One thing i liked (from a woman's perspective) was that it wasn't a show with girls with huge fake boobs in your face. The girls (most of them) were all natural, and the show was more focused on the artistic expression, rather than the nudity itself.

All in all, the trip was amazing, neither of us had any complaints. We did find that the gambling at Bellagio left a bit to be desired...we didn't have much luck there (we play Blackjack only). We played Blackjack at Bally's most nights and came out ahead.

I would definatly recommend staying at the Bellagio.
