We stayed at the Bellagio from August 17 to August 22, 2008...and had a WONDERFUL time.
Check-In: We stood in line for 10 minutes before we reached the Check-In desk (not bad at all). We had booked a Spa Tower room with a partial lake view. The guy at the front desk spoke with his manager (without us asking) to see if he could get us a better room, and he delievered! He came back and advised that instead of being on the 6th floor, we would be on the 25th floor with a full view of the lake!!! We gave him a $20 tip for the effort.
The Room (#25636): One word - AMAZING. Spa tower room, king bed, full view of the fountains, seperate shower and tub, double vanity, well appointed room, sheets were comfortable and soft, had amazing sleeps on the bed. There was a box of chocolate covered strawberries left for us upon arrival...it was just a really special touch.
Maid Service: We left a tip for the maid each morning before we left the hotel. We left $2 on the pillow for her. When we returned to our room each afternoon, it would be spotless. The maid would even tidy up our toothbrushes and cosmetics that we left on the bathroom counter. We would shower in the afternoon, and get ready for our evening out in Vegas. When we would return back to our room, our bed would be turned down, and chocolates left on the side tables.
Wedding Day (August 18, 2008): I had the Bellagio Salon do my nails (toes), Make-up and Hair for my wedding....and what can i say, it was the best choice i have EVER made. They were so fantastic and so polite. Their attention to detail was appreciated. They really made me feel SPECIAL. The Salon itself was HUGE. There must have been 30 different hair stations, 10 makeup stations. It was a wonderful experience, and i would happily recommend this salon to anyone getting married in Las Vegas.
We were married at the top of the Stratosphere, at the Chapel in the Clouds. The ceremony was perfect (just my husband and I went down to Vegas to get married). It was very special just having him and I there, reciting our vows to each other. The photographer was PERFECT, I'll post some pictures with my review later on.
Ok...Back to the Bellagio Review....
Pool(s): Amazing. Nice and quiet, not many kids around...good drink service...I recommend tipping $1 per drink, you'll get better service this way.
Food: We ate at OLIVES on our wedding night, and they treated us like royalty. We got a table on the outside terrace overlooking the fountains, we had the BEST seats in the house. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was VERY romantic. It really was the perfect place to celebrate our marriage.
Shows: We saw Mystere and Zumanity. Both were really amazing shows. I prefered Zumanity as it was more of a sensual show, it was great for couples, and the pre-show was HILLARIOUS! There was some nudity, but it didn't bother me at all. One thing i liked (from a woman's perspective) was that it wasn't a show with girls with huge fake boobs in your face. The girls (most of them) were all natural, and the show was more focused on the artistic expression, rather than the nudity itself.
All in all, the trip was amazing, neither of us had any complaints. We did find that the gambling at Bellagio left a bit to be desired...we didn't have much luck there (we play Blackjack only). We played Blackjack at Bally's most nights and came out ahead.
I would definatly recommend staying at the Bellagio.
