There are 3-4 basic things that I look for in a hotel. Location, room, service and amenities. This hotel is outstanding on all counts. I booked via the website. Remember this is not a hotel but condo apartments that are owned by 3rd party owners but managed by MGM. This is not a casino hotel but trust me you are better of staying here than at the main hotels at the strip.

Location: Great location. Just behind MGM it is connect to MGM via a walkway. it takes a few minutes to get to MGM and then inside MGM a few more minutes past all the restaurants to get to the casino. I preferred this as compared to other hotels which always looked extremely crowded. Every Vegas hotel will require you to walk to room through the casino. No such problem at Sig at there is no casino. You have best of both the worlds. I was walking thru other hotels, MGM, Venetian, Palazzo and between the hours of 4-8 PM there were literally 50 people waiting to check in, taking upto 1 hour. When I got to Sig, how many people were in queue. ZERO. Check in took all of 2 minutes.

Room: Really good. I was in a 1 BR suite. There was a full kitchen area, living room with sofas and a flat screen TV, a full bath. Then the bedroom also had a huge bathroom a really large king sized comfortable bed and another flat screen TV that comes out of the work desk. Pretty cool. I found the shower area a bit lacking as I was expecting a better shower but really does not matter. I am clutching at straws here :).

Service: Outstanding. I got to the hotel on a Saturday not knowing it was Madonna night and the hotel was almost full. I had paid a pretty high price, almost 300 for Sat night, must be due to this. When I got in I found out they had upgraded me to a 1 BR suite from a studio suite. My plans had changed and so for Sunday I had made a different reservation (sunday nite rate was 200). The lady at the front desk, Michelle, upgraded my for Sunday also. She is one of the smartest front desk staff I have met in almost any hotel in the US. Very helpful. They have a free valet service. I had rented a car from the airport and was going to return it to the Dollar location at MGM. I asked the valet about where it was, and he told me there was no reason I had to do it. They took care of it for me, I simply had to go to the concierge and sign a paper. Thats it.

Amenities: There are 3 Signature towers. I was in tower 2 which had a cafe. I believe tower 1 or 3 has starbucks. There is 24 hours in room dining and housekeeping. Free wireless (its included in the $20 resort fee that is mandatory per night. They have a pool and a really great gym at tower 3. The gym has brand new equipment and each one linked to a personal TV. Plus u can also use all the facilities at MGM.

Overall: Fantastic stay. For those of u who have been to Asia know that service in US hotels is far from satisfactory. But this hotel totally debunks that myth. The product is great and service is great. Its a bit pricey for Vegas standards, at about 200 a night, but its still not too bad a price. Whenever I come back to Vegas this is the only hotel I am going to stay at.

Having a hotel fetish is hard since I like the best places. The room was beautiful with a nice but unfurnished patio ,although the building I was in had no restaurant. or bar.
So at 1 am- I called to see if I could still get food in the restaurant 2 buildings away. They assured me I could so I went there and even though they were open for food they said no after I walked there .
Then they asked my most hated question! Who did I talk to? Who did they think I talked to ---MAdonna , who's concert was the very best. by the way.
They suggested room service. I really came to Vegas to sit in a hotel room. NOT
The bed was the worst I have slept on in many years.I called the desk in the am to see if I could change rooms They seemed unaffected by my diccomfort and no room change occurred.Basically they said all the beds were the same.
If you really want to stay at Signature bring your own bed and food.Have fun.It is still Vegas .I can't wait to get back to Bellagio!!!

“Great Place To Stay”

Signature at MGM Grand

5 of 5 stars

Nov 10, 2008

We spent five nights at the Signature as part of our honeymoon. We had booked the room via Expedia, who did well in passing-on our requests.

We were given a suite on the 24th floor in tower 3 and it was amazing - there was a box of chocolates and a card waiting for us and the room itself was spacious and clean, had a really nice bed, big bathroom with jacuzzi tub, separate shower and a small TV. There was a large TV in the kitchenette area of the room and had a dvd player. The microwave and hob we never used. We also had a balcony with a good view towards the strip.

Maid service was excellent and always topped-up the fridge with water and we had newspapers delivered each morning.

Originally we had wanted a room in tower 1, mainly due to the reviews on Tripadvisor commenting about the length of the walk through the MGM. The walk from tower 3 to tower 1 takes less than a minute before you get to the walkways, but in any case we were so glad to be in tower 3, as it's the closest tower to E Harmon Ave, which we used as a shortcut to the strip every day.

Walking down E Harmon Ave you end-up at the Harley Davidson Cafe part of the strip and closer to Planet Hollywood, Bellagio etc. (walking through MGM to get to the Bellagio takes twice as long). Coming back to the Signature each night was good after the hustle and bustle of the strip and the casinos. Once or twice we did walk back to tower 3 through MGM at night, so we could get a slice of pizza from Mama Ilardo's takeaway.

The staff on front desk of tower 3 were very friendly and the concierge was especially helpful in answering all of our queries, confirming our helicopter booking for us by telephone, checking us in online for our flights and printing boarding passes. We had no problem in getting taxis and the advantage of staying at the Signature towers is that most taxi drivers used Koval Ln (runs parallel with the strip) to get to the northern part of the strip, so we weren't sitting in traffic.

We only went by the pool 2/3 times, but still thought it was a nice relaxed atmosphere and the portion of chicken tenders and fries we bought from the snack bar was huge - easily enough for both of us to share.

Overall we had a great stay and we would definitely stay at the Signature again.

“Believe the reviews”

Signature at MGM Grand

I found the reviews of Signature at MGM pretty much accurate. It is convenient only to the MGM, and the walk to MGM is not bad at all. If you want to go anywhere else, you have to cab or drive. It's a long walk to Paris and Bellagio, although nice during the day.

Best part about Signature is, if you want to relax in the lobby or hang out, and not be bombarded by those slot machine noises, this is a a great place for it. The lobbies have fresh fruit and water bottles (a valet or bell person usually offers it to you if you're just sitting there) and are a good place to people watch, without smoke and noise. Service is first class all the way.

MGM still has lots of good restaurants, good casino, and the clubs. Not the Bellagio but pretty good.

We chose the Signature because it was non-smoking; little did we know how well-appointed, friendly and classy our choice would be! The Signature is one of the best hotels I've ever visited, and I have stayed in hotels around the world. The staff was friendly, gracious and accomodating -- from the front desk to housekeeping. Our suite, booked on Orbitz, was luxurious! The bathroom was spacious, had a jacuzzi and a television, as well as a separate room for the toilet. The living area had a very comfortable bed, couch, desk and small kitchen area. It was fantastic and modern. I reccomend The Signature!
