My first time stay at the Red Rock Resort for two nights was awesome. Modern and tastefully designed property with all of the amenities you could ask for at this chic off strip hotel & spa. The place is huge, a world within itself without the cheesiness that permeates Las Vegas.

The room was super clean and quiet, beds comfortable and the views of the strip were amazing. I requested a quiet room and was promptly accommodated on the 17th floor (did I mention that the view was fantastic through an entire wall of floor to ceiling windows? The spacious room included a a large flat screen TV, deep soaking tub with a second, smaller flat screen in the marbled bathroom. Service is there when you need them to be and respectful when you want privacy. Food options abound, ranging from an inexpensive food court, two buffets and high end sushi and steak house. Several stylish bars, a night club and of course, the casino were all equally welcoming.

If gambling is not your focus, the Red Rock offers a 14-plex movie theater, bowling lanes and an arcade for the younger family members. I was incredibly impressed with the pool scene. Good music, colorful towels, lounge chairs and cabanas were all arranged in a circle around the main pool, sporting numerous additional pools throughout. The spa has its own pool and lough area, which makes it nice for those who want a little distance from families with children. There is a bar complete with misting to keep you hydrated while sipping a wide variety of cocktails offered on the menu. The casino and hotel are both easily accessed from the centrally located pool area.

The hotel spa was impressive and you automatically gain access through your resort fee of $20 a day, which gives you the opportunity to not schedule a treatment but still use the spa.

Red Rock Resort offers free, prompt shuttle service (it's actually a small bus) to and from the Airport every two hours. A cab will cost you $55, depending on time of day and traffic. My wake up call was right on time and the bellhop, front desk and concierge staff were all friendly and helpful. You can arrange to go for hikes, bike rides and kayaking a short distance away in the Red Rock National Park area. I didn't get to take advantage of this so I can't review the activities.

You can't go wrong staying here. A few things to keep in mind though: The pool closes at 7 or 8 PM and staffs security who will oust you from the area if you are there after hours. I would like to see the resort offer an area where you can sit outside and chill, AWAY from the casino in the evening. Also, the mini bar and snack tray have electronic sensors. As is typical in Vegas, you touch, you pay.

Red Rock Resort is a fantastic alternative to saying on the strip!
Go Rock it!

“Incredible hotel; Incredible stay”

Red Rock Casino is an incredible hotel! The room was cool & mod; bigger than expected and the hotel service was so much better than the massive Strip hotel's du jour. The rest of the hotel was geogeous as well.

The pools were very accomodating with a bunch of room to spread out. I swam in one of the 7 smaller pools (all by myself) in the middle of the day! The speakers were playing a bit loud everywhere, but we never had a problem finding our place in the sun.

The casino was cool and inviting - many, many drinks for such a short amount of time:) As most LV hotels, smoke was an issue for my asthmatic wife. Mandalay was the best hotel for this issue, but RR did an OK job with the ceiling architecture and fans to pull the smoke upwards. Everything runs in a circle around the central bar; table games close to the center and slots all over the friggin' place.

The room was extremely cool! Much bigger than the West Wing at MGM, and as "decked out" as Paris and Mandalay Bay, but in a hip/mod design. We stayed on the 15th floor with a RR view, which was stunning. Initially, our view overlooked the pool, then the RR canyon, which was beautiful! We did have a long walk to our room (the higher you go - the longer the walk), but this was not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

We loved not staying on the strip! This trip was a vegas vacation without the strip hassle. We took the hotel shuttle 2x, which came in handy. There was a $60 cab fee to and from the airport as we didn't take the shuttle at those times. I could have avoided this if I'd planned the flight/transfers better.

I love this hotel. I've been to vegas 6 times, and Red Rock was my best trip. Mandalay Bay was the best strip hotel I've stayed in, but I'll go to RR from here on out.

“A real Beauty”

The first thing I liked about the Red Rock is that they have an airport shuttle bus downstairs. One level below the regular shuttles (It was somewhat difficult locating the shuttle from the airport, because I thought it would be with the other shuttles)

Once on the bus, the driver, gave us each a bottle of cold water, which was very much appreciated, as it was hot.

Get to the hotel, it is simply stunning....

Check in was pleasant...they have small bottles of water and apples for your enjoyment.

Now, the room was alllllllllllllllllll the way down the hallway......
away from the elevator, but that too was ok I could use the walk.

The room itself was very stunning, and lavish....the marble in the bathroom and the flat screen t.v. in the bathroom were a treat.
The tub and shower are separate. Again, stunning.

The bed, oh my goodness, was like a dream come true. It was so comfortable and relaxing, that I didn't want to leave it.....
There is a large flat screen t.v.

Now, the view, was of construction, but even that didn't bother me.

There is the casino, Starbucks, buffet place(where you will get a couple of dollarsoff your meal with their station card) There is a movie theater and a place to go bowling.

At night I left the curtains pulled back, and was able to enjoy the lightening show.

I can't wait to go back to this place. Even though it is no where near the strip, you have everything your little heart desires in this fabu hotel.

“Nice hotel, terrible service”

This is a beautiful hotel that was recommended to me by one of my business partners. Upon arrival, there were not two rooms available for checkin which is understandable. The front desk rep was robotic. She told us it would take an hour and she would call us on our cell. Three hours later they called (about 345 pm). I arrived at the front desk and they had one room available. They could not get the second room until later. Other people were checking in as we continued to wait for our second room After a few minutes I asked why we could not get a second room. They said our room had already been assigned and it was not clean. Again, no apology, no sympathy. The seemed to feel I was lucky to be a customer. I asked if I could just cancel my rooms (3 night stay) and go somewhere else. They said I would have to pay for one night for both rooms. When Vanessa, the manager, got involved she was kind enough to allow me to pay for just one night for only one room. I felt that was unreasonable, since I had never been in a room, had the priveledge of hanging around their lobby for four hours even after the published checking time. I asked to see her superior and she said I could speak to him but he would give me the same answer. She said he was in a meeting and would not be available until later. I had the option of leaving and paying one night for one room or wait for him. I opted to checkin to both rooms (the second one became available) and check out the next morning without penalty and stay the next two nights at another hotel. Unbeleivable. The management of this hotel is just processing cattle. They could care less. It is an honor for you to be their customer. I finally spoke to Joe Saldana the front office manager. He agreed with my position and assured me he would speak to Vanessa. He asked what he could do to make amends. I told him nothing. I don't want anything. I am not asking for compensation. I want to be greated nicely, provided a room in a timely basis, treated as a human being and enjoy my stay. None of these things happened. I just wanted to have fun in Las Vegas for three days. Now I get to find another hotel after being forced to stay at Red Rocks. I would not recommend Red Rocks. I would look for a hotel that is focused on customer service.

“Love the hotel, but be aware of the nightclub noise rooms”

Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa

This is our 2nd stay at the hotel. We come to Las Vegas for business and love the comforts of the hotel as we live in similar building (a 450 unit 19 story highrise) so for us it's just like being at home. With this being said we are used to the long walks down the hallway to get to the room and the general noises that come with the slamming doors and noisy neighbors. The first time we stayed here we had no issues, except the construction on the strip view side of the hotel, it wasn't too noisy and only slightly disturbed our sleep. This current and 2nd visit, not so trouble free (I'm currently typing this from our room after a busy sleepless night). I made the reservation for a Strip view room (just as before), but when we got to the room (nice and high 15th floor) we were on the pool side. We were immediately greeted with the boomy music from the pool, but that's fine because the pool closes at 8pm. So after getting tucked into bed, at 11pm we are woken by the loud booming music again. Turns out this is Cherry nightclub that's open from 10:30pm - 4am. We call the front desk, got hung up on and left on hold so we put our clothes on and went down there. They switched us to a strip view room on the 6th floor. At 5am we got woken by the cement mixer out front where they are working on the parking structure directly outside. Then, at 6am booming techno music started that was coming from who knows which room (speaking from experience of living in a high rise it is really hard to determine where noise in the building is coming from because of how noise travels in these large buildings). Keep in mind we both sleep with ear plugs and even they provided no relief. I thought it was our neighbor next door but after going into the hallway it turned out not to be. So we survived for an hour with the booming and it finally subsided at 7am. Bottom line, if you like your sleep don't get a red rock view room, get the strip view room as they are almost done with the parking structure construction directly outside of the hotel, they are just working on landscaping and the cosmetic part of the construction (you can see this is my pic). Yes, there is construction across the street but it's far enough away that I could not hear it at all (pic included).
