I had stayed at the Wynn in September 2007 and loved it. Now we went back with a group of friends and I insisted on staying at the Wynn. I am not so sure I would do it again...Many things had changed, especially the level or service.
Upon arriving to our room we noticed that it looked as if someone was staying there. Used soaps in the bathroom, used towels, an open water bottle on the table, hangers on the floor etc. We called housekeeping, and they said someone would come, after 2 more calls as nobody showed up the reception called to offer to change our room. We where already installed and running late for dinner, so we where offered a usd 50 credit on food and beverage in the Wynn...
The second suprise was when we went to sleep late (2-3 oclock) and realized how noise the room was. Our neighbours where from the far east I believe and probably locked their children in the room alone as they where screaming, yelling and playing around until 5 in the morning. This repeated every night. You could hear EVERYTHING from the rooms beside as well as people walking in the corridor. This meant we slept in 1 hours blocks, until we could buy earplugs.
The first night we had dinner at the Wing Lei, which was wonderful food and great service. Also we saw the Reve which I highly recommend.
On Sunday afternoon we couldnt have lunch before 3, and at this time all the nice restaurants are closed so we went to the terrace point café. The service was absolutely appauling and the food fair, like any cafeteria. It was all but a relaxing experience, as there where no waiters to be seen, the table still had dirty dishes from the main course when dessert was put out etc etc...too many details here to even enter into. Once again when we asked to speak to the manager her solution was simply to not charge us for dessert. I think the Wynn should work on improving their service level instead of giving away desserts, vouchers etc. Because this wont take away the bad taste we where left with in our mouth.
