“Stayed for three wonderful months”

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort

Jun 13, 2008

We had been there for a month and decided that the price was too high. Went to some other parks on Boulder Hwy that were a bit cheaper and when we walked thru them not near as nice. The security is great. Watched the Super Bowl in the clubhouse and ate wonderful horduvers (sic) . They have many activities and we would stay there again without question.

This park is probably the nicest RV park in the Las Vegas area! They have three price ranges, and it is worth it to get one of the "premium" sites with a lawn. Our site backed up to the pools and putting green, and we even had some trees. Roads are paved and sites are concrete with picnic tables. Sites are good sized and easy to get into with big rigs.

Overall, everything is clean and tidy. The showers are large, individual rooms each with shower/sink/toilet. They are not new, and obviously get a lot of use, but are kept clean. The lawns are mowed, the streets are swept and and the many trash cans are emptied several times a day.

There are two pools and one of them is "adult only", so there is a quiet area for adults to relax. The children's pool has a waterfall and sandy beach for them to play on.

They have about a half dozen dog runs - all of them super clean. There is also a very large dog run near the front entrance to the park. Security is excellent, as they have friendly staff on duty at the gate 24/7. This is a very large park with about 700 spaces.

The restaurant located to the side of the office was excellent! We had breakfast there every morning for five days, sometimes taking it back to our trailer and sometimes eating under the trees by the pool. Quite reasonably priced, too.

The park is a few minutes' drive from the south transit bus station, or you can drive to the nearby outlet mall and park there to catch the deuce into town. It takes about 15 minutes to get to center strip on the air conditioned deuce, which runs 24 hours a day. Unfortunately, the desk staff are not familiar with how & where to catch the bus. The trolley is no longer in business.

The only problem we had here was the wi-fi. It does not reach to every site, and indeed the front desk does not seem to know which sites it works in. There is one person in charge of the wi-fi system, and she does not have a phone in her office. It was supposed to work where we were, but was hit-n-miss. We finally bought a booster for it at a local electronics store, which helped a lot.

Additionally, they do charge for the wi-fi, about $5 per day. That is ridiculously expensive when one is paying over $50 for an RV campsite!

So, they get an above average rating instead of excellent, due to the wi-fi problems. But we'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Las Vegas.

“Excellent staff - very clean - well maintainted”

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort

Apr 6, 2008

We arrived there at about 7PM and the staff was excellent in getting us checked in and making sure we knew where our spot was. We chose a pull thru for ease of arrival.. We have dogs and the accomodations (dog runs) are great.

The place was always clean - trash cans would get full at nite and staff emptied first thing every morning.

Shower facilities are cleaned every day and are large.

Would we stay there again? Yes - we are alrleady booking for a stay again next year.

Oh - someone commmented about jet noise - folks - this is Las Vegas! It is busy all the time. Only once when the wind required the planes to take off the other direction did we hear plane noise. It was not all day and it was not any louder than you would hear anywhere else.

Oasis RV gets my thumbs up!

We stayed here twice this month and both times were very positive experiences. We did pay for a premium site so a little more expensive but well worth it, our first site backed onto a games area with grass and palm trees and the second we backed onto the pitch and putt and pool area a coveted spot I was told. They have numerous pet runs around the park with one very large one at the front. Wifi and cable worked fine, my husband did have a problem with one of the showers but I would say this is definatley NOT a rundown park everything is very well maintained very clean and the staff are only too happy to help.

“Poor Value for the Dollar - Place is falling apart, Poor Management”

They call this a 5 star resort and on the surface it may appear so. The bathrooms didn't have hot water and are falling apart, the cable doesn't work most of the time, the washers and dryers don't work, and worst yet, they say they have WIFI at every site, but it seldom works. I complained to the management, Cindy and Dana (husband and wife) who did nothing. I left messages for Dana (GM) who didn't even call me back. When their son came to the RV about the internet, he showed me how his lap top worked fine, but upon questioning, he has his receiver boosted to allow him to atually receive internet. Overall, this park has the smoke and mirrors of a great park, but structurally it is falling apart and management is terrible. I used to come here years ago and the park was filled weeks in advance, but now it is about 40% vacant all of the time.
They don't care about their patrons, their management is pretty much incompetent and their service staff no little if anything about the RV lifestyle. For the money, a poor value overall.
