We stayed at the Las Vegas KOA for 2 months in Jan. & Feb. of 2008. It was a lay over for us from our winter holiday job and our summer job. (We are full time RVer's.) We loved the Las Vegas KOA. It is quiet at night, the staff is perfect, helping you with everything from propane, shuttles to the casino (it's behind Circus Circus on the strip), to where to go and what to see or just to do your laundry. Very clean place. Yes, it's all paved. But, we have lived in parks were there is dirt instead, and the mud is terrible, it was nice to have a break from the mud in a paved area for winter. We were so impressed with this KOA that we have designs for it to be our next job. We love Nevada, Las Vegas in particular. And given our lifestyle, it seems the obvious choice for us. We would like to work there long term. It's a great place, with great customer service and the prices are great, compared to staying in a hotel. They have a nice store, pool and sauna,a nice dog park and treat each person like they are special. Just the kind of place we want to be.

KOA Las Vegas

KOA Las Vegas is located in a huge car park behind Circus Circus. This means it is exactly the point where the Old Vegas meets the new Vegas and either of these start with a walk through the Circus Circus casino floor.

The park has huge RV spaces with everything you need - even free internet access for those with or without a computer, really lovely friendly staff who actully seem to get a buzz out of saving you money (Dee Dee is a real hotwire) and some great details like, not just a dedicated dog walking area, not even just a sand covered dedicated doggy assault course, but in fact, two of them so small dogs can exercise away from bigger dogs.

As I type this i'm in the RV and it's actually cold here in vegas, the wind does seem to whistle through the KOA park and it is well sheltered by the huge buildings around it but at night, at day and in the rush hours, the park is quiet, really very quiet. Only the noise of RV's arriving and the helicopters pierce the silence.

Despite the cold, the pool is a pleasant 100 degrees and certaily warmer than the air around it, there is a spa pool, 2 sauna's a laundry and clean toilets. The shop guys are brilliant and it IS cheaper than the outside shops so al in all - great value.

Obvioulsly this is not going to be a pleasantly green and bushy campsite and one imagines that it's not on the cheapest real estate in Nevada but to my way of thinking, the value is about right and the staff here make it.

Other tips for the Brits... make sure you bring some older 5 dollar bills with you, all the machines here dish out new ones and you can't buy the daily bus pass with them, there is a stop right outside Circus Circus, either way and $5 for a 24 hour bus and monorail ticket is the best $5 in Vegas and the best value souvenir we have found is a silver $1 gaming token from the casino... no tax on it either!

Going on tomorrow, had enough of this city but would return here to KOA without hesitation.

The service at this RV park was above that of all others. The people working there provided nothing less of excellent service. The amenities were very comfortable, clean bathrooms, amazing convenient store. The shuttle service make the strip one call away. Overall, one of the best parks I've ever stayed in!

Our first RV (31ft motorhome) drive and our first RV park experience. We arrived after dark (about 6.30pm) - very helpful staff when they found it was our first time. We were escorted to our lot and shown all the hookups. All couldn't do enough- excellent service. Stayed just one night. Car park but it means level ground and no mud to bring in and lighting when you need to set up after dark without a torch handy (it was our first time). Beautiful warm clean rest rooms, security coded, no riff-raff, excellent laundry facilities, very convenient location. Quiet, off the strip and we felt safe.

“OVERPRICED...but surroundings quiet”

KOA is located right next to the Circus Circus, with hilton Grand Vacations and Sky Las Vegas towering right over it.

We camped there for one night for $10 a tent. But...there was no dedicated camping spot! We were camping right next to RV's and others were staying on the curb of the main roads! They just gave us any grass space (if you have been to KOA LV, any place right along the road for parking an RV. Some of us were actually kind of scared if an RV accidentally went onto the curb and crashed onto us.

The facilities were okay, with showers and toliets and sinks. They were a little dirty. In addition, there was free wireless internet, but it wouldn't work after we used it for 2 hours.

The surroundings were actually very quiet. We couldn't hear any of the honking and traffic from Las Vegas Blvd. Most of the sound we could hear was a calming, soothing waterfall (probably from Sky Las Vegas) and a rare occasion where a plane flew over KOA.

Overall, KOA is okay, but having us to stay right next to a road, parking, etc. was dangerous and not very attractive at all. They should make a dedicated spot instead.
