“Had a great stay”

Desert Rose Resort

I stayed at this resort in September 2008 for 5 nights & enjoyed my stay. The rooms were clean & the hotel felt safe at all times. My room was quite large with a bedroom, bathroom living/dining area & a fully kitted kitchen. The room also comes with a safe, iron & ironing board. I found the air-conditioning unit to be rather noisy, so I switched it off at night.
The resort is just off the strip, next door to Hooters & a 5 minute walk to Tropicana & MGM. Car Parking is free. There is a decent sized swimming pool, although it got very busy at the weekends. The breakfasts are of a buffet style, but very good, although I thought it would had been better if the breakfast eating times finished at 10 AM not 9 AM during the midweek, like they did at the weekends. There is also a small buffet of drinks & crisps etc between 5 & 7 PM.
I would defiently stay at this place again.

The Desert Rose Resort was a great place! It was better than expected. It is close to the strip but very relaxing when getting back to your room. The rooms are spacious and nice and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is easy and close. We would definitely recommend this place if you would like to visit Vegas but don't want the hastle of the big casino hotels.

“peace and quiet in vegas”

Desert Rose Resort

Nov 6, 2008

we stayed here recently for 5 nights and couldnt fault with anything. very friendly and helpful staff at all times. our 4 friends stayed in a 2 bed apartment and we stated in a 1 bedroomed apartment, both were very nicely furnished and had everything you need. just a few minutes walk to the strip and all the action you could ever want. it was very nice to come back to the peace and quiet though. the free breakfasts were good although a little busy at times. we didnt attend any of the free special nights as we were always out and about , although the people we saw attending as we passed through reception looked as though they were enjoying themselves. would definately recommend staying here as we much preferred it to staying in a busy strip hotel.

“fantastic place to stay”

Desert Rose Resort

We stayed at the Desert Rose Resort for 8 nights and would highly recommend this hotel. This is a little haven amongst the hustle and bustle of the strip. We were a party of 9, divided into two, two bedroom suites which were faultless. Plenty of room, very clean and amazingly comfortable beds! The free continental breakfast was adequate and we more than welcomed the free drinks and nibbles every night from 5 til 7pm. This was a great time to relax by the poolside, wind down and meet other guests. Staff were always pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The location is second to none, with the MGM monorail station just a five minute walk away, although i have to say, we didn't use it. We were able to walk to the strip within ten minutes. We are coming back to las vegas in the very near future and will definately be staying at the Desert Rose Resort. Can i also say, no one at the hotel asked me to write this review or even mentioned trip advisor. This is a totally unbiased opinion from a very happy holidaymaker from Scotland. “Nice Property”

Desert Rose Resort

We recently had a two night stay at the Desert Rose. The location is wonderful, very close to the airport. Within walking distance to Hooters, Tropicana, and MGM. The monorail at the MGM will get you almost anywhere else. This is a non gaming resort, which makes it very family friendly...quiet and not smokey. The resort is beautiful and the rooms well appointed. We were given room 1103, a first floor 2 BR, 2 bath 'apartment', complete with a patio. The kitchen was stocked with all necessary items i.e. dishes, flatware, pots/pans, mixing bowls, coffee maker, toaster, blender, iron and board, dish and dishwasher soap..a wonderful set up for a family. It truly was a competely furnished/stocked apartment. We arrived Friday afternoon, mingled at the "happy hour" where we ate chips/salsa and some type of chex mix. There were free sodas, juice, beer and cocktails. Breakfast was continental..bagels, cereal, toast, pastries, sometimes ham sometimes cheese. Just perfect for getting your day started.

The staff was friendly and helpful, couldn't ask for more. 2 downsides....the entry door to our room was right next to the security door that all guest must pass through to gain access to the guest room area. It was comforting knowing that you must have a room key to enter, but we could hear every person that went through, along with the security door slamming shut. Nothing the management can really do about it, and once we got used to it, it was no longer bothersome.

The other downside was in a 1 br suite another person in our group had. The air conditioning in her unit was VERY loud. When it was on, it was difficult to chat at the kitchen table.

All in all, I would love to stay here again. It's a great property!
