We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club. We were very impressed from the moment we arrived by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We stayed in a one bedroom suit which we found very clean and furnished to a high standard. There was a large Jacuzzi, which we enjoyed after a long day of gambling. The kitchen had everything you needed. It is ideally situated behind the Flamingo which is located in centre of the strip. Grand Vacations is very peaceful and quite. There is a Deli on site which is basic but reasonable and also Valet parking with a charge of approx £16 per week, this is well worth doing.
We are seasoned visitors to Vegas and have stayed at several strip hotels and we both agreed this vacation was the best yet.
We hired a car for 8 days which I would recommend as it gives you the opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of the strip now and again. There is so much to see that is not too far to drive, like the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and many more places. There are some very nice hotels that are worth visiting that are not on the strip, The Green Valley Ranch, South Coast, The Orleans. These hotels offer lots of activities other than gambling. Like multiplex Cinemas and bowling alleys. They are also less crowded and less Smokey. All restaurants in Las Vegas are now non smoking.
We are looking forward to returning and staying at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club again.

This is a wonderful place to stay at. This is just what i wanted. It had warm water to take a shower, comfortable bed, and close to everything. To me thats most important when your only spending 10 hours in it.

My husband being active duty Army, we took advantage of Hilton's "Vactions for Veterans" program and stayed 3 nights at the HGVC - Flamingo for free. Hard to beat. I thought they would put us in an older room. But we arrived at noon, well in advance of check-in and not only was our room ready but it was newly redecorated with a great view of the pool area and the Strip. Full kitchen, king bed, great view--You couldn't ask for more. Every staff member went out of their way to be kind to us (especially the valet and the front desk) and the conceirge made reservations for me at the Flamingo spa no problem. The room was clean, neat, and well-appointed. Jacuzzi tub for 2!

The only issue is parking. Self park is a good 10 minute walk from the room and accessibly only from the outside. That would be terrible in summer. Pay the $6/day rate for valet and come and go as you like. No restaurant on the property but the Flamingo is within walking distance.

Negatives:
Rooms - The rooms are very dated and way below Hilton standards...don't be swayed by the Hilton name! It is much more similiar to a Comfort Inn. Plus, really noisy doors when you stay in the studio rooms!
Positives:
Location - You just need to walk through The Flamingo to be on The Strip.
Pool - You have access to the Flamingo's pool with the "resorty" poolside waitress service and waterfall,etc...nice enough but it is crowded and smokey with loud music. The Hilton's pool is small but nice and less noisey. The pool bar is GREAT. Frozen drinks were $4.50 vs. $10 at the Flamingo and $12 at the Wynn!
Deli - The on-site deli was great and a nice break from the Vegas-over-the-top-prices!
