We were in Vegas for a work conference and got a great deal through Travelocity to stay at the Paris. Apparantly a lot of other people got this deal as well, we waited in line for 45 minutes to check-in! Finally got to the desk at 4 p.m. only to find out that our room wasn't ready! and to find out the pool was closed for the whole week we were there. We asked for an upgrade because of all the waiting and pool inconveniences but were declined. They offered the pool at Harrah's Casino connected next door. Our room was finally ready at 6 p.m. The room was just a standard room but it was a corner room so we had two large windows and a view of the bellagio water show, overall it was really nice. The bed could have been more comfortable. The food prices were kind of expensive in the hotel -water 4 bucks, which is a Vegas standard, walk a few blocks over to 7-11 and you'll get a better deal. We also signed up for the rewards card and got food coupons and discount at the gift shops. Kind of annoying to walk through the Paris hotel and through Harrah's casino to get to the pool but I can't complain about the 85 degree weather once at the pool. Remarkably there were enough chairs considering the shared pool, and I would recommend an IPOD or something while poolside, the music is hideous!

“Paris hotel great value!”

Stayed at the Paris Las Vegas in September. It is great value for the money. Room was spacious-just short of mini-suite size. Pool area was great in that there was always plenty of room and lounge chairs available. Hotel was just the right size-no long wlaks to get to pool, restaurants etc. Plus the location on the strip can't be beat.

“Fine, but it's just a hotel room when you get right down to it”

We stayed in a King room. My company was paying for it, but I asked about an extra night and was quoted $200. Not sure what my company paid.
It was all very antiquate, but nothing that made me gasp. I've stayed at upscale chains that felt about the same.
I liked the separate tub and shower. The honor bar is computerized so don't even move the stuff around, you'll get charged.
Housekeeping was very attentive and nice.

We stayed in the north wing (1470) and ended up with a partial view of the Bellagio fountains, but mostly we looked out on the dirty roof tops of Bally's next door.
The elevators were plentiful and quick. The general theme-ing of the hotel is fine, not over done, but kind of pointless once you get past the public areas.

Something in my room made me sneeze a lot. Eventually we turned off the ventilation and it stopped.
The little vents on the windows that let fresh air in are tricky, ask your bellman how to operate them.

Nice location for Strip Strolling.
Old-school Vegas is near by (that's what we like) at Ellis Island - straight out the back of the hotel on Kovel and Battises's Hole in the Wall - just across Flamingo from Bally's and Lawry's Prime Rib less than a mile down Flamingo. We also were able to walk to the Peppermill, although a somewhat long walk. It was nice.

This Hotel has one of the best location on the strip...Prepare yourself to walk in Vegas especially if you want to go inside every casino...The room at the Paris was nice and clean, nothing to argue about...The concierge was not very helpfull and desperately needed a smile...Overall we enjoyed our stay...

“Great Location”

Arrived on a Thursday afternoon and booked in very quickly. We were offered an upgrade to a room overlooking the pool and with a view of the fountains which we accepted. The price for this included continental breakfast, hors-d'oeuvre's and two alcoholic drinks per day for two people.
The room was nothing special but absolutely fine for what we wanted, the only problem was that there wasn't enough storage space for three people so we couldn't unpack properly.
We were supplied with fresh towels each day and the beds were made. Don't touch anything in the mini bar or you will most likely get charged!
The hotel was ideally located and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be central on the strip.
We took our 19yr old daughter and this proved to be a bit of a problem, they are very strict on under 21yr olds and she was not even allowed to stand still in a casino - she had to keep on walking. Also some of the restaurants/bars wouldn't let her in not even for a soft drink, this we thought was quite unreasonable. We were waiting to go and see a show one night and had 30mins to spare, when we asked if we could come in for a drink we were told by two young girls on the door of one restaurant that we couldn't and that "People shouldn't bring children to Las Vegas"! It's funny because whenever it came to buying tickets or paying entrance fees she was classed as an adult and had to pay adult prices.
The other problem was back at the hotel with the free breakfast etc., if my daughter came in for breakfast we had to pay $10 for her. She is on a gluten free diet so we supplied her own bread and she only had that toasted and some pineapple so it was rather expensive but still we paid it. The same evening she wanted to come in with us while we were having a drink, we were told that she would have to pay $10 again, we explained that we had already paid $10 that morning and that she didn't even want a drink, couldn't eat the food and just wanted to sit with us and we were told that we would still have to pay. We refused and he threatened to call his supervisor, we told him to go ahead but no-one came - we weren't charged but I wonder if all that fuss was really necessary.
We went to see several shows; Mamma Mia (excellent), Tournament of the Kings (very good, meal included but was a bit rushed), Extreme Magic (excellent tricks involving live tigers, show was only 1hr long so not particularly good value for money but worth seeing), The Blue Man Show (excellent - very different - again worth seeing), Anthony Cools Hypnotist (excellent - a bit rude). You can get discounted tickets on the day of the shows at the Coke bottle on the strip.
We took the grand canyon sunset helicopter flight, we really enjoyed the trip and the sight of the strip at night was breathtaking.
My husband and daughter went on the Insanity ride at the Stratosphere - they loved it - I was too chicken! We walked there from the Paris - my advice - take the monorail!!
All in all we had a great time.
P.S. Freemont Street light show is well worth the visit!
