We stayed here for 4 nights. It is a typical Hampton Inn. The beds were very comfortable, room nice and clean and bright. The staff was courteous but sometimes so busy it took a while to get help. As a side note our friends were staying at the MGM and our room looked just like theirs except they had about 50 square feet more room than we did.
They offer a free shuttle to and from airport. This is a plus and saves about $16.
Our shuttle drivers were fabulous! They will shuttle you TO but not from several casinos on the strip for free (we always tipped however). We were told we could walk to the strip, which is true. However, the walk will take you under the interstate overpass right off the Excaliber parking lot. There were numerous homeless folks there and we were not comfortable carrying large amounts of cash while strolling thru there. We were advised not to walk it at night. We ended up taking the shuttle to the strip and bringing a cab back, which averages about $10 before tip.
Breakfasts were typical Hampton Inn style. Good selection of fruit, muffins, bagels, cereals, etc. Eggs were pre-cooked or one morning they had breakfast pizza's. The shuttle driver had told us about the place across the street for breakfast and said it was good. So we took our lives in our hands one morning and took a hair-raising walk across the street to the Wild West Gambling Hall and Hotel for their $2.99 breakfast. Breakfast was good but it was so smokey that the air just hung like a blue fog. Unless you are desperate for a change of pace for breakfast I would not recommend it.
Overall, if I cannot stay on the strip I would consider staying here again.
