Hotel part of Stratosphere is average. Entertainment system in the room did not work most of my stay. Soundproofing is min. between rooms and hallway.

Good part- Casino and bar areas were good. Friendly service and good payback on Video poker. The tower is a good way to spend the afternoon. Rides are scary but worth it. Restuarant is overly priced but worth the experience for lunch.

Must see- The show "Bite" was excellent, not just the topless part, but the whole show.

I would vist the casino and tower in the future, but I would stay at another hotel.

I spend 4 nights in hotel and it was what I expected. Great value for money, but as I said I rented a car...We paid (I think 10$ for our stay for room with a view), and it was a great . Room was clean, nothing special. Pool is great (open gym, table tennis, volleyball, hot tub). Freemont street is near. But if don't have a car it might be hard to go down the Strip and back. After all, I think is't a good deal to stay there...

Firstly, check my other reviews. I'm a traveller and I don't hand out good reviews without reason.

If you book this hotel, then chances are you have paid WAY LOWER than any other hotel on the strip. When you consider this hotel, bear it in mind. You have paid a lower price for a reason.

The lower price is because

a) It's at the end of the strip

b) It's not as plush as other hotels in Vegas

However, the cost difference makes this a GREAT hotel if you want a good base to experience Vegas without paying the cost for a room at the more expensive hotels. I paid $40 a night.

So, the ROOMS.

I stayed in a non-refurbished room. It was big and clean with a standard bathroom. No complaints.

The good thing about Vegas is that you can feel like you are staying at any hotel. I went to the Bellagio every night for dinner, drinks, and gambling. At 2am I got a $10 taxi back to the Stratosphere. I spent more time at the Bellagio without paying the $$$ surcharge for a plush room.

I went into a couple of hotels more central on the strip that had similar prices and thanked my lucky stars I wasn't staying there.

This is a bargain in Vegas. If you have a budget stay in a big hotel, if you don't then you will not get any better than the Stratosphere.

The Stratosphere is definitely a budget a hotel, but for the price it's really not a bad deal. The room I stayed in was clean, no view (except a wall), but overall decent. I stayed at the hotel only for one night, but it was well worth it. The casino is like all Vegas casinos and the restaurants were good. I especially enjoyed their 50's/60's themed restaurant (forgot the name). The food was well priced and the servers were very entertaining, literally! The servers encouraged customer participation by hula-hoop dancing and singing! Very fun! There's also the rides at the top of the Stratosphere, which is on the way passed their fine dining restaurant. I've eaten there once...the food was over-priced, but the view was awesome! I would definitely stay here again.
