My husband and I stayed at Harrahs 10/7-10/14. We had booked a limo again for pick up as we did last year. Our driver was right there at baggage claim. The cost of $48.00 was worth it to us, as we were helped with our luggage, and were treated like royality as per usual Harrahs! Check in was easy. They did not have a room ready with a king bed, but did have 2 queens available. It was only 10:30 am, but we opted to take it as we had been travelling for many hours. We had room 2345, in the Carnaval Tower. There was a nice view of the Mirage, as well as part of Caesers Palace, part of Venetian, and Treasure Island. The air conditioning is sensor controlled, but can be easily bypassed if you just look at it and set it right. Everyone was friendly as usual. Housekeeping was exceptional. I do suggest that anytime anyone has a problem, just contact them. We always leave $5.00 per day tip. We had room service many times, and although we were told it would be 45 minutes, it usually came within 20. Video Poker was wonderful to both myself and my husband. We won several thousand dollars playing 25cents at max credits. Cocktail service was wonderful as usual. The beds are glorious! Perfect mattresses, and plenty of pillows. We also charged back to our room visits to Toby Keiths, PepperRose, and Margaritaville. We had $5.00 off of flavors buffet, and gladly spent the full price the second time around for breakfast. Hubby tipped prior to seating, and was tended to constantly. There isn't a bad thing to say here. No noise from other rooms, or the hallway. When departing, our limo driver was waiting for us (we were 5 minutes early). Again, very cordial. I wish everyone a wonderful stay as we had at Harrahs!!!

“Gambler Beware!”

Harrah's Las Vegas Casino & Hotel

My wife and I stayed Oct 9th through the 12th. We intially requested a deluxe room in the Mardi Gras tower but switched to carnival tower because of a power outage scheduled during the night (2-5). We upgraded to Junior suite and I highly recommend it. Largest hotel room we have ever stayed in, and it does make for a more relaxing stay. Overall stay at Harrahs is perfect because of the location. I agree with the others that drink service is abundance and the hotel is nice.

Now the bad news. The old Vegas is GONE. I spent 3 full days gambling (Blackjack, slots) at several casinos and all I can tell you is check your luck at the door because these casinos have changed and made it much, much harder for you to have an edge over them. Three years ago I came and consistenly fared well at Binions, Harrahs, Flamingo, MGM, Ballys. Most all of these casinos now deal 6 decks. You can get a 1 or 2 deck but with payout and rule changes. Blackjack now only pays 6/5 on the low decks(1-2) and you CANNOT double down after splitting( some casinos have exceptions-for now). At first, I thought I was just having bad luck but as the days followed and I watched other people, I noticed noone I saw winning at either slots or tables( and I looked at alot of tables). I was actually impressed by this- alot of people losing so consistenly...everywhere, not just Harrahs. Friday night, I deceided to go outside of Harrahs properties( pretty much all of the surrounding properties) and see if this is a growing trend and unfortunatley it was. So dont bring much to lose and try to do more touring than gambling.

“Overall Good Time”

Harrah's Las Vegas Casino & Hotel

I stayed at Harrah's from October 5th -10th. I have been returning to this property for a few years now. Mainly due to the prime location and Total Rewards program. Check in was delayed as I requested a smoking room and none was available, so I Iwaited a couple of hours and then was given one on the 17th floor on the Mardi Gras tower. Check in person was very friendly and helpful. It was a nice room and the only draw back and complaint that I had was that the toilet didn't flush most of the time. The room itself was only a short distance from the elevators which was nice. Also the elevators are very quick and hardly any noticable time was required for waiting. No exceptionally loud noises were noticed on the floor while I was there. The housekeeping services were very good and prompt. A partial view of the strip was observed. Very colorful especially at night time. The location of the hotel as others have mentioned is situated in a prime location on the strip. The beverage service on the casino floors while gambling were also good and did not take an excessive amount of time to receive drink orders. All servers were friendly and cordial. All of the service personnel were responsive to guests. The monorail service behind the casino was helpful and reccomend utilizing it. The free shuttle services as well to other Harrah's properties are also reccomended. I didn't utilize the pool or retaurants so I can't comment on them. The casino floor seemed full most of the time.
If you visit here or any other Harrah's property, I would advise: Joining the Total Rewards Program ,request a Fun Book as they contain some bargains and discounts and inquire when there are Multiplier days to increase your playing points. I didn't win that much but had a good time there. I'll be returning to a Harrah's property for my next visit to Vegas. Hope that this report was helpful.

“Hotel was okay, location was great”

The location was great but the hotel itself was so-so.
The room cleaning was not up to par with other hotels. A dirty wine glass was left in our room for two days, so I put it in the hallway where it stayed for another two days. They replaced a dirty water glass with a clean one, but didn't take the dirty one.
The view from our room left alot to be desired. If looking at air conditioning units is your thing, stay here.
The air conditioning is motion sensored by the door, which was horrible in 110 degree heat. When we walked into our room, it was 79 degrees. Not a cool temperature for when you have been walking outside.
The cafe in the hotel was overpriced, understaffed, and, the food was bland. The buffet was good with a variety of different foods. The casino slots were very tight, but the beverage service was frequent and abundant!
The pool area was great because it had little water sprayers to cool you off in the hot Vegas sun.
Would I stay here again? I would for the location on the strip but not for the service.
