My family stayed at the Holiday Inn Express off of Green Mtn Rd this past weekend for a shopping trip. I picked this hotel because I wanted to have a nice and clean room with a good location and good price. The other Holiday Inn Express is a block away on the strip and is about $30-$40 higher per room. Finding the hotel was difficult and hotel staff was a little rude and unprofessional. The hotel clerk did not know how to do a transaction with cash..she said people normally paid with credit cards and that's all she knew how to ring up. After about 15 minutes and tracking down the manager, we were able to check in to our room. Our double queen room was nicely decorated and clean. The beds were really comfortable and included firm and soft pillows for your preference. We were located by the elevator but the room was very quiet and we had a nice view from our window. The breakfast in the morning had a nice selection. There was fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, danishes, donuts, and muffins. We ate there the first night but opted to go elsewhere the second morning. The food tasted okay...standard continental breakfast. The hotel is located right off the strip and close to several fast food places, restuarants, and Walmart. The pool was really small and located outside. The sign said spa but I didn't explore the hotel and see it. Overall, our two nights were comfy.
I liked: price, location, cleanliness of room, comfort of room
I disliked: hotel staff, outside pool
