I think the Microtel is a great place to stay. I've stayed there at least 3 or 4 times. It's not the Taj Mahal, but it's a cheap, clean, quiet place to stay. If you're looking for that, it's as good as anything else in New Ulm (If not better because it's NEWER). I guess I don't really care too much about how the front desk person acts while they swipe my card. For a place to sleep, it's great.

I thought that the condition of the motel was okay, but the employees were kind of cold. The restaurant across from them had bad service also. I was also told I was staying in a suite and all it was was a regular room with a microwave and ironing board...i do not consider that a suite. therefore i feel like i have wasted my money. i think i might try super 8 or holiday inn next time. microtel's pool was small compared to holiday inn's. no jaccuzi rooms like at super 8 either.
