Coming from Philadelphia I have experienced some of the best food you can find. I dined at the location there several times and had the same expectations for the Tampa location. I came to find that the "Chain" label they are given is much undeserved. Completely different scene and style. The chef is fresh from the Philadelphia location but it is not at all evident. At first I was a bit disappointed in the volume of business and wait. I then realized that unlike in Philadelphia this location is the place to be, and they have earned that reputation. Once seated our server came over. He didn't go about it as we're used to, instead he asked what we like, then made selections based on our likes rather than suggesting dishes blindly. Everything from the Hawaaiian Martini, then the appetizers, entrees, and that Hot Chocolate Souffle was stunning. There are a ton of seafood restaurants in the area but it's quite obvious that the chef goes to extra lengths to make sure his quality is unrivaled. The managing partner was a really cool guy to talk to and actually took some time to talk to us on a really busy night. The chef even came into the dining room and talked to everyone about their food. I will admit the service is better than up north, but Roy's service is outstanding. Strong recommendation. If possible ask for Tony, he is the most knowledgable server I've ever had.
