Food was okay but while sitting in the lounge I noticed a convicted felon(theft and cocaine) walking through very obviously under employment. I stopped eating! What do you think this guy is doing to the food??? I will not be back!

The concierge recommended Carino's to us and all I can say is wow. Some of the best Northern Italian food I have had in a long time. The service was immpeccable and the food was fresh and delicious. By far the best place to eat in St. Pete Beach.

On the basis of the glowing trip advisor reports we visited Carino's. We should have been wary when we saw that the entire restaurant was awash in artificial flowers - hanging, strung from the walls, I've never seen anything like it. It should have been a clue that this restaurant did not adhere to fresh and local principles. Caesar salad was below average. Spaghetti carbonara was supposed to contain Italian bacon. It had pink bits of something flavorless - I would be hard-pressed to call it bacon. The young man filling the water glasses had an interesting technique of trying to keep the ice in the pitcher, and , when his technique failed, he poured the water from my glass - which I'd been drinking from - back into the pitcher and tried again. So apparently the staff is not educated in the most basic techniques of public health. I could not recommend this restaurant.

Food was excellent. Staff very friendly. However, after spending a good amount of money...when I presented my $25 certificate I purchased through Resaurant.com the manager said she had the ability to deny it, and said I could use it in April. The problem was, I won't be vacationing in April. She stated it was good for a year and gave me 10% off... not close to my $25. I told her she should state her stipulations in the gift certificate. Poor customer service.
