We were vacationing in St. Pete last October 2007. Although our resort had nice restaurants, we like to try off resort restaurants and bars. The concierge recommended Carino's and it was fantastic. Six of us had a variety of entrees and sampled each other's. Service was a bit slow, but we are from the north and should learn to slow down and enjoy life. Our waiter was nice, helpful, and courteous. After we shared some wonderful dessert, we went over to the piano bar. It reminded me of the inside of the old circus tents. Katie was at the piano, sang and joked with the crowd. It made my birthday something I'll always remember.
For those who gave this restaurant a so-so review, maybe you should only eat at the chain restaurants where everything is the same and bland.
This place has character, much like our old favorite Guisseppe's in Orlando, which sold out and no longer the great restaurant it once was.
