My family and i just visited Captiva recently, and we got the chance to go to The Bubble Room. This restaurant was awesome. The decor is fun and entertaining for adults an children. The food is average price but you get alot for your money. I can't wait untill we return, it's my new favorite place!!!

My seven year old had found the Bubble room website prior tour visit to Sanibel / Captiva and was desperate to eat here.

The bubbble room is an experience, the decor is a childs fantasy with toys and memorabilia everywhere, even inside the tables themselves.

The scouts were very friendly, attentive ( I can't understand the bad review from piglet ) and efficient.

We loved the bubble bread appetizer, which came with sticky buns.
Fine dining is not what the bubble room is about be the food was fairly good ( we did have worse meals @ Captiva ) The people next to our table come every year to the bubble room to have the prime rib ( it was huge but 'very good' they said as they took 80% of it home in a box).

The desserts are huge and this is what the Bubble room is renowned for.

We were told that the bubble room is one of the largest grossing restaurants in SW Florida by one of the locals.


Try it and see. we did twice!!

If you are visiting the Fort Myers area this is a great place to visit for a fun meal and the best cake you will find, unless you are great at making cakes from scratch. My advice is to get one slice of Red Velvet, one of Orange Crunch and one of the Chocolate and enjoy. I still could not tell you which is my favorite.

The staff is also great and make your dining experience alot of fun. The wait staff dress like scouts. Portions are generous. This is a family friendly restaurant and a drive out to Captiva is a great adventure if you are visiting other parts of Lee County. For locals like myself, it is where the best beaches are located and where I have to drive to when I want some good home made cake and I do not want to bake it myself.

If anyone actually makes it to the Bubble Room and loves the Red Velvet cake, you can contact me for the receipe. The owners of the Bubble Room are such nice and generous people that they were kind enough to share it with the Junior League of Fort Myers for their cookbook.

Three of us decided that we would like to try out the Bubble Room for dinner during our late October stay on Sanibel. We got there at opening for dinner and were seated right away. As soon as we entered the place, we noticed the smell that others have been complaining about. I thought it smelled like bad fish at first, but the whole place smelled like it and it wasn't appetizing.

After sitting down and taking a quick look around, we dove into the menu. Everything was overpriced and not good for any picky eaters. It does not really matter if you get a large portion of food if the food isn't any good. We decided that, if all the Bubble Room was good for was some funky atmosphere, it wasn't for us. We got some disgusted looks from the "scouts" as we walked out the door. We were not alone, though, as we saw 2 other parties leaving at the very same time.

We decided to stop in at Cheeburger Cheeburger and had a great burger for well under half the cost.

If you want a museum, go to a museum. If you want to see "junk" all around you while you eat in a funky odor-filled atmosphere, then the Bubble Room is for you.

We will not be back here.
