My family and I have a time share at South Seas and we visit the Bubble Room every year. We do take out dessert every night. We cant get enough of it! I recommend the white christmas cake. My family will tell you orange crunch or red velvet. The atmosphere there is like no other, with so many things to look at. All of the "bubble scouts" look happy to be there and their personalities go along with the whole scheme of the restaurant. All of the food portions are huge and I couldnt imagine anyone being able to eat all of it! Not to mention the amazing bubble bread and sticky buns they give to every table, which I would love to know the recipe of but our scout told us that it was their secret recipe of a seven cheese blend.
We got a grouper which was steamed in a bag, duck, prime rib, t-bone which came out on a steaming skillet, and the pork chops.. all which were amazing and had a great apperance. A lot of the reviews talked about the smell of the restaurant, but our family couldn't take notice to it. Maybe they fixed the problem? I would recommend everyone to experience the bubble room because the food was awesome, the desserts are better, and there is no other restaurant like it on Captiva or needless to say, anywhere.
