It should be noted that myself and four friends went down to South Beach for a Bachelor Party, we are all 30 years old, and not high maintenance. We arrived late to the Hotel, and only after driving past it twice did we start looking for the address. I was not a part of the check in process, but it seemed lengthy. Although we requested two rooms adjoining or at least near each other, the rooms we got were no where near each other on the first floor. The room I was handed was the first room off the lobby/bar, and the on top of being very loud, there was a large stain on the comforter that looked… biological. I spun right around and requested another room, after some run around and a lot of waiting, I received another room across the hall from the other room we had received, despite being told five minutes earlier that they were sold out and there were no rooms anywhere near each other. The second room was better, but went right along with the rest of the reviews of this hotel, dinghy, small unclean bathroom, non working TV, etc. Seeing as how we weren't planning on spending much time there the hotel was acceptable. What further annoyed me however was later that night three young ladies checked into the adjoining room from us. Proving once and for all that not only did they have rooms near each other, but there were adjoining rooms available when we checked in, but they wanted to get rid of the room right off the lobby, and we looked like the kind of people who weren't going to complain about it.
The "Continental Breakfast" was laughable, but again I didn't choose this hotel for luxury. The drinks at the bar were great, but I was charged varying prices depending on who was bartending, and by varying prices I mean $7 for a drink from one guy, and $13 a drink from the next, and I'm not talking about Happy Hour/Regular prices, I purchased the drinks at the same time of day on consecutive weekdays. We never tried the food there, but the restaurant was usually busy, so I'm assuming it was good. They do provide "Beach Towels" but they are normal bath towels, so I recommend bringing your own to lay out on. Our room was cleaned daily, the beds were made, but the linens were not changed over the course of the 5 days I was there. We were never sure if they were changing the towels or just folding and hanging the same ones because they were always dry after the room was cleaned. Overall I would stay here again because of the location, but this is not somewhere I would bring a girlfriend.
