This hotel near Miami International Airport is a nice place. The room was nice and spacious, with a large bathroom. The swimming pool was clean and well heated, as well as having a nice large jacuzzi. The grounds were also nicely landscaped. It is near a number of decent chain restaurants and has easy access to freeways although it is off the main drag. We had to leave before the breakfast was served tto catch an early flight.

Our only complaint with the hotel was the fact that there was no business center, with Internet access, which seemed odd considering it was near the airport. We just wanted to use the internet for advanced check-in at the airport. We were told by the girl at the desk that we would need to look off-site for internet access, to which she gave us directions to a gas station, which had no access. We went back to the hotel, and the young man behind the desk, offered us the use of his computer, to check in. Now that's customer service!

We would probably stay there agian if in the area.

A typical La Quinta both modern and clean with generally friendly staff , although,our initial reception was somewhat personality-free.
Being located 2 miles out from Miami Runway 08R means that, you may be woken from 5am by air traffic passing 600 feet above. At 2 miles most jets are increasing thrust to compensate for increased drag and a possible go-around not at idle as most laymen might think.
You might have thought that the architects would have fitted double glazing to reduce the intrusive sound but they didn't.

Personally I would not stay there again until the rooms are soundproofed. Room Rates seem high given the effects of the unenviable location.

This hotel near Miami International Airport is a nice place. It has a couple of restaurants nearby. The room was nice and plenty of space for a sink and room for bathroom. The bed was comfortable and spacious.
My biggest complaint with the hotel was the shuttle service. One of the shuttles drove close to the curb at the airport and was picking up passengers, and of course, this shuttle was to the "other" La Quinta. Another La Quinta shuttle was always passing by at a higher rate of speed. The shuttles run only til 10pm, after that you need a taxi to get to the hotel. So $14 later, I got to the hotel. I told them my complaint, they didn't seem too interested. I later asked for a shuttle for the next morning, the front desk person said, "be here 10 minutes before the top of the hour and the shuttle leaves at the top of the hour." So, I think, no problem.
Next morning, check out at 1045am for the 11 shuttle. I see the shuttle up front and the driver walking around. The front desk person told me to wait near the door, the shuttle would leave at 11. Well, before you know it, it is 11, then 1130 and 1145, the shuttle is still up front. The driver is having breakfast next door with a guy who is leaving for the airport at a later time. I had to catch a flight, so I called a shuttle to pick me up, another $25 to spend. Just made check in time for my flight to Newark. I would think if you pay a good amount of money for a room, you would at least get transportation to the airport which is only 10-15 minutes away.

Needed a hotel for one night near the Miami airport and this fit the bill just fine. Room was clean and spacious. Planes fly over approaching the airport but the hotel is well insulated so it is not noisy. Breakfast is nothing special, but it was adequate. They offer packets of toiletries if you've forgotten something - we needed shaving cream and they had it. Staff at front desk was friendly.
