This hotel has a great location, no doubt. It's connected to the lighthouse which is a good attraction and is across the road from the Hemmingway House which means it's easy to get too but also that troops of tourists arrive outside your room, early and stay all day!
As for the hotel. It's clearly overpriced and the rooms are very small. Queens are really doubles. You can tell that at one point in time this was a great place but reinvestment in the asset has been poor. Glass tiles in the bathrooms are loose and the grout work needs redone. The external property is kept well and the grounds people do a great job.
I think this would be a great hotel if rooms were $120 but not at $250+. Saying that it is expensive to stay in Key West in general and there are clearly places much worse. So if Michael Porter came for a visit he would say they had sussed the power of competition and priced correctly!
In summary, I would stay somewhere else next time.
