We didn't believe the poor reviews on the Galleon and decided to go there since it has a beautiful view on the water. We have stayed in many resorts all over the US and we know what we can expect for the price. The Galleon is NOT WORTH IT. They are nickle and dime condominium owners that rent out the apartments for a quick return on their investment, the furniture and beds are the original ones from the sixties and I mean that literally. The employees/service staff are rude- disgrunteled people. Our bed smelled, we removed the sheet cover and saw old sweat stains encrusted into the mattress, the pillows where the same.There was mold in the bathroom we reported this and nothing was done so we had to clean it ourselfs since they refused to move us to another room because the condo owner had already collected the money. The management did not care to hear our complaint, they appear callous and not surprised. The place is truly a Galleon. PS: Not to our surprise...there was a dead roach in the closet.

We had the worst vacation in this hotel. The people in the room next to ours were drunk and loud the whole time. When we complained to the management, we were told that those people are paying customers too and if we didnt like it there to go elsewhere. This place is unreal. We will be more careful in the future avoid these low life hotels when traveling with children.

We stayed at the marina. Nice, showers were good. Ice, and marina store could have been better. Dock masters were great. Maybe just make sure there is ice for sale in the ice chests. At least in the mornings.

The room in the G building was filthy. There was mold in the bathroom.The rug was dirty. I had to call for maintenance twice to come and kill the ants. The final crowning glory was the fact that I ended up with about a dozen bed-bug bites. Out of the six days of my stay the maid service (?) came only three times. The explanation - if they come once and you are in the room they don't come back!
The pool area was OK, but the 'hot' tub/spa jacuzzi or whatever it is called was never hot because the heater didn't work, and fixing it didn't seem to be an option.
