Just returned from a 4 night stay. What a beautiful place. We had a pool view room with a queen size bed. Ver comfortable room. We had a refrigerator in the room with a little wet bar. Our bathroom was spacious with a jacuzzi tub. Spent a lot of time relaxing in the pool. Used the sundeck but it did get a little hot. Relaxing music played thru out the property. Very close to Duval where all the action is. I never saw the staff stop. They were always working and the cleanliness and appearance of the property shows their hard work. I will definitely be going back for another stay.

Heron House became a sanctuary to us. We ended up staying three nights with an interlude in between. We booked here for the first night because we could not get into the Curry Mansion Inn. Little did we know what a little piece of heaven we had right in front of us. Then we moved to the Curry Mansion Inn for three nights. See that forum for details, suffice it to say we could not wait to get back to Heron House. We called Heron House the afternoon we checked out and a junior suite had just had a cancellation. We booked it immediately and happily returned as quickly as possible the following day.

There is relaxing music playing by the pool all the time. There is a sun deck to get sun because with all the lush tropical folige the pool does get rather shady. The breakfast was good and the wine and cheese on the weekend was also great. Upon checkin we were offered a glass of wine and shown the property (1st time anyway). Our first room was on the exterior with a small view of the pool from one window on the second floor. I really recommend the junior suite. It opens up right onto the patio where the sofa's are and where breakfast is served. Fabulous room and spotless! We would have been happy to just have our original room back, but the junior suite was worth the extra few dollars.

We did not have any problems with the parking. We found parking just a block away the two times we had to park. The staff there is very friendly and the ammenities are great while still being close to Duval.

If we ever go back to Key West we would definetly stay at Heron House again.

We just returned from a 4-night stay at the Heron House in Key West. You really can't beat the location. It is only several blocks to Duval St. where the action is but it is seems very quiet and secluded. Our room was a garden terrace room directly off the upstairs sun deck. Of course, it was entirely too hot to use the sun deck during the day, but in the evening it was great just to sit outside and relax. The pool was warm but even so, it was pleasant to take a quick dip and then let the breeze cool you off. The breakfast was fine each day, served in the breezeway on the pool patio. There was complimentary wine and cheese on Friday and Saturday evenings by the pool. The hosts were ready and willing to answer questions and make reservations for activities and dining. Our room was clean and spacious. If I returned to the Heron House, I would request a room with a private balcony/patio so that I could sit in a shaded area - there's not a lot of shade available during the hot part of the day. I would also avoid getting a room near the breezeway where breakfast is served as it could be a little noisy for late sleepers. Although somewhat pricey ( as everything is in Key West), I would stay here again.

No complaints only raves about Heron House. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Stayed in one of the Garden Deluxe rooms and it was spacious and very nicely decorated. David Black at the desk was especially helpful. Very convenient location ... we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to see as first time visitors to Key West. Highly recommend the Heron House.
