My family and I were staying at another Singh property in Marathon called Tranquility Bay. Many locals told us that no vacation to the Keys would be complete without a daytrip to the Dry Tortugas. Unfortunately, with two grammar school aged kids, getting them up at 6 to get down to Key West by 7:30am wasn't happening. While Tranquility Bay was great in so many ways, a huge Miami wedding moved in for the weekend, so we inquired about Parrot Key. They had just opened it the day before, but we worked out moving down there, thus accommodating our Tortugas excursion.
Parrot Key is absolutely great. The service wasawesome (the manager even walked us down to show off the property, since we were the first people to stay in the rooms). The accommodations were suberb: much bigger than Tranquility Bay, the kitchen boasted huge granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, HD tvs all over the house, four bathrooms, third floor media room with xBox - all my wife could say is WOW.
The grounds are tight, as one would expect in KW, but the vegetation is already lush and the pools, while practically right on top of each other, were separated enough by the palms and other tropical plants. Caution: it was over 95 the week we were there and the pools gave little to no relief, the water being in the 80s.
Overall, we had such a nce time that we plan on coming back in the Fall.
