We stayed for 2 nights at the beginning of a Florida trip. The hotel was on the beachfront reasonably close to suitable bars, restaurants, shops, etc.
The hotel is a standard hotel which is probably due some upgrading. It was however good value in our view (about $75 per night). We stayed in a oceanfront room ($10 more) with two double beds which were reasonably comfortable. At the time of our stay the weather was extremely humid (rain and windy), and we did sense a dampness about the room, especially from the carpet. For that, our room was spotlessly clean so it was either something related to the weather or the air-conditioning.
The hotel supplies simple complimentary breakfasts, cereals, rolls, coffee, etc which we thought was fine. The bar next door did a reasonable meal (steak & ribs type stuff) at sensible money $15 or so.
It was only a shortish drive to the Daytona Speedway track which was an interesting 2 or 3 hour tour (probably much more interesting if you know something about Nascar).
All in all we liked Daytona and will visit again as there is plenty in the area to see and do. We will probably not stay at this Best Western, but wouldn't want to put anyone off, it is a decent hotel that we thought was good value and probably ideal for a family beach-type holiday, maybe after a week of Disney? For British visitors, it is an easy journey to/from Sanford Airport.
