I sometimes wonder what people expect for $90 (€58).
Do they expect 5 star luxury? Perhaps someone to come in at night to turn down their covers and leave a chocolate. Do they expect to be overwhelmed by waitresses serving a full breakfast each morning? Do they expect to look out their window and see the wildebeast roaming majestically through the Serengeti?
Personally for that money I am hopeful of a clean hotel, clean room, friendly staff and, if there is a breakfast of any kind it is a bonus. ( I can turn my covers down myself thank you very much, and Im better off without the chocolate).
What I found was a clean hotel, clean room, friendly staff and as a bonus a great continental style breakfast that I served myself.
What I also found and hadnt expected was a nice sitting room and a reasonable sized bathroom. Large screen TV in bedroom and sittingroom. When I pulled the blinds I saw exactly what I expected. A perfect view of the privately owned condominiums next door.
Yes the stain on the landing carpet was there but apart from that everything was fine. I doubt if I would spend a full holiday there, as there is nothing happening during day or night, but for a few days pre or post cruise this hotel is value with a capital V.
