“Just what we needed”

Cedar Park Inn And Suites

5 of 5 stars

My boyfriend and I needed some very much deserved time together. He booked the room and surprised me. There was champagne waiting, a jacuzzi, just an all around beautiful experience. We ate at Custy's (which we received a limo ride to) and that was phenonemal. The casino was very close so we went there too. The staff were great and the grounds were wonderful. Ambiance and everything a person could ask for. Thank you very much.

“Not for everybody, and not for us”

Cedar Park Inn And Suites

2 of 5 stars
Stamford, CT
Sep 15, 2008

My husband and I opted for a Saturday night here in early May instead of farther down the road at Mystic since the casino hotels were full. We reserved a Luxury Suite, which turned out to be a cheaply paneled 1/6th of a hexagonal building -- or maybe it's round? It was so dark and every other outside light was burnt out, so we couldn't tell. It was early May but too cool outside for the famed cocktail party, so we ate at Two Trees Grill at Foxwoods and had a wonderful meal. Now, the room: thin walls/ceiling. Nobody next door, but above us a bunch of young guys were obviously celebrating something and we heard every thump and word. One guy was talking on his cell phone out on the balcony above our door and we could literally hear every single word he said. They left for the casinos about the time we were going to bed (about 1 am) so it worked out, we didn't bother calling the desk. The bed, as advertised, is a Tempur-pedic. We have one at home, so we were happy with it. New crisp linens on the bed were a nice touch. The room wasn't musty but it looked like it wanted to be. Funky carpet that turned the bottom of my bare feet black, a weird set up with the mini fridge and a small microwave shoved into a corner with the fridge blocking access to it, and a gold colored threadbare sofa with some stains I don't want to speculate about that looked like something off The Seventies Show (or from my teen years). Bathroom was an odd layout due to the shape of the building -- it was pie-shaped, with the toilet tucked into the "point" behind the shower stall. The 2 person jacuzzi tub was clean but only two very skinny people could fit into it at the same time, so don't expect a hot tub in your room. Dim lighting, difficult to read by, and no bedside lamps (well, there was one but the bulb was burnt out). Bugs in the bathroom in the middle of the night: over a dozen (yes, I counted!) of the little "roley poley" bugs between me and the toilet at 4 am...just flicked them aside with a towel, but still...Raid, anyone? And a spider the size of a small crab in the sink in the morning. Ugh. We still laugh at how the description of the place is so out of sync with what we experienced. It was clean enough aside from the harmless little water bugs, and the limo to and from the casino was nice, and the coupon for discounted dinner at Crusty's or Custy's or whatever was okay though we didn't use it, but we'll stay at the Comfort Inn in Mystic (or even the Hilltop down the road on Rte. 2) again rather than here if we can't find a room at Foxwoods. The off-putting things weren't things you could complain about, except maybe for asking for a can of bug spray, so we didn't bother. We just won't go back.

This inn was great. The Staff was so friendly and our room was excellent. Barbette was extremely welcoming. Our room was upgraded to a double jacuzzi which my husband and I loved. We are all ready planning on returning again in the next month or so. Highly Recomended!

“In A Word, Divine”

Cedar Park Inn And Suites

5 of 5 stars

In A Word, Divine

Our impression upon arrival was, "Well,Ok, let's check this out before we check-in" Hidden on a forest-like knoll next to the interstate is several octagon shaped buildings surrounding a small court yard protected by a bronze statue of a wolf-dog. Upon entering this eclectic lobby we see a marvelous, Asian bird cage among other classic antiques. I knew this place was not your standard hotel. The hostess/ receptionist was amazing. She's a pillar of useful information. Just ask, she is an audio-City Directory! We were early. My it was husbands birthday and our plan was: Go to the Casino, Eat at Custys (ALL YOU CAN EAT LOBSTER, surprisingly is within walking distance) then go to the room, or crawl after eating 4 lobsters!!! We were granted an early check-in.The rooms were Clean-Odorless-Above Standard Decor. We were pleasantly surprised to find our room had a sm.micro & fridge. (Nice for our snacks & wine.) With all this being said, I now must Rave about the BED!!!! Superior Bed & Bedding. I felt like I was in a Fremdenzimmer instead of a hotel. Say what you want but, our experience was unsurpassed to any Hotel ""Red 10--6-or 8"".....P.S. When using "ANY PUBLIC" Jacuzzi or Tub, Bring YOUR OWN scrubbing bubbles for Maximum sanitation satisfaction. Stay here and enjoy what this wonderful community has to offer, Oh did I mention they also offer Limousine service, ride in style to the casino.....

Sincerely, J & T Neuner, Fingerlakes region, NY

“Would Stay Again”

Cedar Park Inn And Suites

Jul 31, 2008

The Cedar Park Inn was a great place to stay i don't know what the other guests were suggesting when the said the place was dirty and had mice. Nothing of the sort the bed, pillows and jacuzzi was very satisfying. The only thing I would like to see diffrent is I think that the the room needs bed side lamps. Due to the fact the over head lights were kind of bright..
