As tourist from Europe booking this via Internet - my spouse asked me if I am fine spending such a big amount of money for a party of four. Hope some Europeans may share my upfront concerns.

But what we received, absolutely exceeded our expectations - this in connection with the Durango Silverton Train was by far the best Adventure in our Lifes (and we have seen quite a lot).

Best day in Colorado, fantastic staff, great security, a house keeping and friendly owner, great rides.

When you are nearby (within 500 miles) it is a must.

My family of six did Soaring in July of 2008. It was a fun experience. However, for almost $2000 for the six of us, I think it is overpriced. I also do not think it is the best tourist adventure in the United States. For starters, we were told that we needed closed toe shoes. We purchased Keens for the trip. When we got there, they acted as if we had did something wrong by wearing the Keens and refused to let us on the course even though they are closed toe shoes. They did have spare tennis shoes which we had to wear. I felt rushed during the whole day and lunch. Finally, someone is going to impale themselves on the bird shaped objects at the base of the platform. The owner stated they are to keep people away from the edge. However, if someone were to slip and fall, the safety would catch them from falling too far but they would impale and cut deep into their torso on those stupid birds. I advise that you remove those from the bases. It is only a matter of time. The final 1400 foot span is a work in progress and we are the guinea pigs. I am not overly obese at 240 lbs, but apparently too heavy for that span as flying down it I hit my feet on rocks that were on the floor of the forest. I mentioned this to the owner and he blew me off. They are still trying to figure out that span is what they say. One more thing, even though you initial on the form that you have read it and accept that you may die and they are not liable, apparently your initials are not good enough and they make you circle the bolded text stating such. A bit of overkill on acknowleding that they are liable for nothing.

What an adventure! If you have the time and inclination, add "soaring" to your absolute must-do list. We spent an incredible day flying among the Ponderosa Pines and crisscrossing the Animas River, in a valley deep in the Colorado mountains, accessible only by the Durango/Silverton railroad(or helicopter.) Staff members are extremely friendly and safety conscious.

This is truly a class act from beginning to end. We heard about Soaring through a colleague at work. She had come back from her zip line adventure and couldn't stop talking about it. We thought we would check it out. We went to the website which was underwhelming; and looked at the cost which was a little overwhelming!!; but decided to try it out anways.

Are we ever glad that we did!! Our day of flying high above the trees and over the animas river was probably one of the best times that we have had in Colorado!! The staff were so friendly and knowledeable and genuinely enjoyed their jobs. The food at lunch was out of this world delicious, something you would get a 5 star golf resort, rather than halfway up a mountain on the Animas river!

We have not been able to stop talking about this trip. If we could give it more than 5 stars we would; it was worth every penny; and actually am surprised it doesn't cost more for everything you get!

This is a must do adventure, for the whole family from 5 to 95. We had a 91 year old woman in our group and she was able to do it all!

We are already looking forward to going back again next year!!
