Our family (2 kids, age 8 and 10) watched the video on the Soaring website prior to our trip to Colorado and decided this was a "can't miss" attraction. I just watched the video again a week after visiting, and it is exactly as stated - the kids loved it and it was truly a thrill for the whole family.

I am extremely scared of heights, but Soaring's wonderful staff and their commitment to safety put me completely at ease. It never even occurred to me to get scared during this excursion. They start you off with a few short spans to get you accustomed to the experience, and then you're zooming through the forest and over the river. I don't think there's anything anybody can say to explain just how cool this place is. Yeah, it's a little expensive, but that includes the train ride from Durango, some excellent food, and the time of your life. Priceless, actually.

Our family of five experienced Soaring in July, 2008. My 12 year old was very hesitant beforehand as he doesn't like roller coasters and has a fear of heights and falling. He somewhat reluctantly agreed to go. I too was hesitant because of the cost for a family of five. After our first soar my 12 year old was thrilled -- all fears were gone -- and I was glad we spent the money. It was pricey but really worth every penny. My 14 year old loved it as did my 8 year old. My hard to impress husband was thrilled too. I really can't add to much else to what has already been said. This is an adventure of a lifetime, one you won't soon forget. The staff are wonderful. Your safety is of their utmost concern. The scenery is incredbile. The food is wonderful. The train ride is great. We even saw a bear. Don't miss this one! One of the highlights of our 5 week trek across the southwestern United States.

My experience was alot of fun! The rangers were helpful and the zipping was so cool. I would do this again in a heartbeat!
