I was really impressed by this Courtyard:
* It's the closest hotel to the airport. You could walk there from the terminal (if you didn't mind walking down a freeway ramp!) Some other hotel shuttle rides are quite long, which can be annoying after a long flight.
* The staff were superbly helpful.
* A fridge in the room. I'm still amazed at how few supposedly fancy American hotels don't have fridges in the rooms!
* Free high-speed internet access in the room. Yes, FREE. Hotels at twice the price often charge $19.99 a day. So deduct that from the room cost.
* Room was very clean, modern and spacious. It looked recently renovated: nothing musty or moldy. And surprisingly quiet.
* Nice strong shower.
The only downside is... this is technically a 2.5-star hotel. It ain't the Four Seasons. So don't go in with huge expectations. But for a quick clean cheap place to stay on a stopover, it's one of the best I've found.
