Probably the best restaurant in Arizona. Always seasonal, always changing. Impeccable service.

Visited the resort and KAI for my wifes 40th birthday. Outstanding atmosphere with excellent view of the sunset. The atmosphere is a casual ellegence not too stuffy!! Service was outstanding to say the least. One waiter assigned to you with a helper and a seperate person in charge of wines that will answer any questions you have. The food........Sometimes the cost is just not worth it....here it was. I don't frequent five star restaurants too often so coming from a person like myself the difference I found was ...........1. Obviously the service and preperation. Enough said. 2. TASTE.....everything had such wonderful tastes. Everything. The taste buds were working overtime. This was the thing that stood out from anything else as there was a great and obvious taste to everything, which was all good. The entire time we were addressed by Mr. & Mrs. xxxxxx and when we came back to our room we had a hand written card by our server with some chocolates. When we left supper we stopped at the Martini bar for a couple of drinks. I asked her to surprise my wife & I and she did just that with a couple of great tasting drinks. It did cost us $30.00 for two drinks. Just remember to go and enjoy the food and drinks and splurge.......It is well worth it !!

This is by far the BEST restaurant I have ever been to. My boyfriend and I only reserve this place for our anniversaries because nothing can compare when we want to celebrate the most special time in our lives.

Upon valet, the staff already knew our names. I recommend the patio seating due to the view of the beautiful mountains, though the indoor seating is wonderful also.

The staff was impeccable, and so was the food. Almost always we have the buffalo or lamb. Never have I been treated so well in a restaurant, we literally felt like royalty. Upon leaving, we were surprised with a small box of chocolates in our car left by the valet in celebration of our anniversary!

I almost regret posting this review because I want the restaurant all to ourselves!

I call this a very special occassion restaurant. The service was excellent. Waiters called you by name almost every time they came to the table. Always walked with 1 hand behind their back. Very informative as to the menu and local area.. The menu covers, feature a Native American artist and each one is different. This is a contemporary approach to Native American Cuisine. This restaurant is in the Sheraton at Wild Horse Pass Hotel. You enter the lobby and go to the left to get to Kai. Kai is part of the Gila River Indian Community. There is a patio with seating and heaters in the cooler months that overlooks the pool area and in the distance the Estrella Mountains.
We had the fall menu. Pumpkin risotto starter, tres pescado ceviche,buffalo tenderloin, smoked salmon & cold water lobster, & for dessert a chocolate dessert coated with a seed on a plate that said Happy Anniversary and a lit candle, very nice touch. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted excellent.
Extensive wine list, but we only had a wine by the glass and a few drinks from the bar. A raspberry martini and bloody mary.
Starter prices average about $12. and entree prices about $33.
