“Nothing to complain about”

Marriott Phoenix Airport

3 of 5 stars
N. California
Aug 24, 2007

Centralized for those who want to be near the airport to catch an early flight. Lobby area, nicely presented. Room - big enough to feel comfortable with access to internet for $9.95, bed is quite comfortable for a good night sleep and walls thick enough not to hear your next door neighbor. Bathrooms are big enough with assortment of shampoo, conditioner, and lotions courtesy of Bath and Body - Hotel provides mouthwash as well. Staff is quite friendly and always makes a point to say hello/goodbye each time your in the lobby area. Complimentary coffee in-room. Fits the needs for travelers who are visiting the Phoenix area for business or pleasure.

“Decent for the airport”

Marriott Phoenix Airport

This is standard Marriott fare, near the airport, convenient for those of us with an early morning flight. There is no other reason why you should stay in this hotel. The area is just OK - there is some shopping and dining about a mile down the street, but nothing spectacular. If you get too close to the airport, the hotels (and the general area) get kind of sketchy. The Marriott has a free airport shuttle, and a nice lobby. The rooms have the standard, very comfortable Marriott bed. Bathroom was large, but nothing special. Our room was quiet, but I think that is because there was practically no one on our floor. Pretty clean. Can't go wrong for one night at $144.

    • Liked — Proximity to airport with the free shuttle.
    • Disliked — Pretty boring area around the hotel.

“Very nice staff....”

Marriott Phoenix Airport

5 of 5 stars
Washington DC, District of Columbia

We stay here 2 nights on the way in and out of Phoenix. We went to the Grand Canyon in between.

The staff here was really nice. Friendly, helpful and professional.
A guy that is a regular there said the staff is always like that.

Rooms were good. We paid over $200 on a weeknight and about $130 for a Saturday night. We are Marriott Silver and were given club privledges. A great breakfast buffet. One of the best I have had.

We ate dinner there both nights. Nothing outstanding but good. Coconut shrimp was really excellent....had it both nights. Service was friendly and fast. A bit expensive but expected in a hotel.

This is definately a business person's hotel. I would stay here again
if I wanted to be near the airport.

“Great staff and nice room”

Marriott Phoenix Airport

Oct 14, 2006

I recieved a Friday and Saturday night stay from a charity auction. However, as I wanted to go to the Grand Canyon, I asked if they would honor the second night upon my return. The answer was a quick accommodating, "YES". The room was pleasant and spacious. Free bottled water was available. The only problem was that I tried to get soda from the machine and nothing came out. When I went to the reception to complain, they not only refunded my money, but gave me a keycard to the hospitality suite for the penthouse guests. I was able to help myself to free soda, water and fruit! The stay also included a free breakfast, and as we were late for the buffet, they let us order from the menu. The wait staff were friendly and made my stay very enjoyable.
