Went there when they were having a Spanish Festival...got in free...which is always a plus...these were some of the best exhibits of Indian items that I have ever seen.,..nicely laid out..great staff...gift shop is a bit pricey!!! Overall, a great experience!!!

An interesting museum. We came for the kachinas and weren't disappointed. The museum collection is amazing. The gift shop selections are outstanding. A must see for collectors of Southwest American Indian art of all types.

No pun intended, but we "heard" about this museum, so the wife and I visited. It was very nice and gave you and educational lesson.

Visited the Heard Museum recently while in Scottsdale. I'm not much of a fan of museums but had heard quite a lot about this museum so went to check it out. I wasn't interested in most of what the museum had to offer, but if you are a museum lover I think this would get an above average/excellent mark as it is well set out and informative. They did have a special section on "Education" which I found thoroughly fascinating and definitely worth the entrance fee alone. If you have any interest in Native Americans and how they lived, this museum should be on your to do list.
