Lovely location, outside city, but very cheap cabs and frequent shuttle.

Average breakfast, but evening meal surprisingly good for a hotel - worth eating there

This is a nice hotel set outside of the city center. At first was concerned about the distance, but the hotel has a free shuttle that is very reliable. Hotel setting is beatiful and located on the water. Our hotel room was large and clean. Breakfast at the restaurant was good, but standard fare. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and also spoke good English.

The hotel is about 10 minutes out of town overlooking the Beagle Channel, this is not really a problem as the hotel supplies a shuttle bus that takes guests backwards and forwards at fixed times.
The hotel has great views of the water, it is set someway above the beach and it is about a 15 minute walk down a track to get to the waters edge.
We stayed there over Easter and that is the end of the season so Ushuaia is much quieter as the cruise ships have gone. We didn't eat at the hotel in the evenings as there are some very good restaurants in town.
Breakfast was pretty basic, all cold buffet. The rooms were fine and clean but the walls were a little on the thin side and we could hear the nieghbours.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and spoke good english.
