“Fantastic little boutique hotel”

We booked this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend who had stayed there previously and were not disappointed. From the time we were greeted to the time we checked out, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making reservations and arranging transportation.

We stayed in El Heroe and La Primera Dama and both rooms were wonderful. The location of the hotel is great, there were so many restaurants and funky little shops located all within walking distance. We ended up spending the entire day just walking around in the neighbourhood for our shopping.

I'd say the only downside was that the breakfast was only ok. The hotel is probably considered expensive for Argentina standards but was definitely worth it compared to what you get, for example, in New York.

“OK hotel but expensive”

This is a great hotel, but expensive. We normally liked to stay at boutique hotels, that’s why we choose legado mitico. The staff is not very friendly, they made us fill like if we were at the Ritz hotel in London….very cold service. The facilities are great so I will recommend it if you don’t mind paying a lot.

“A fabulous stay at Legado Mitico”

My husband and I just completed a 4-night stay at Legado Mitico. Our experience was truly excellent.

First, when our inbound flight to Argentina was delayed, Legado quickly agreed to not charge us for the first missed night. The reception upon arrival was genuine, as we quickly checked in and were offered beverages as a welcome to the hotel. Our troubles were quickly forgotten, as we settled into our beautiful room, La Primera Dama. This is a large room that features a beautiful fireplace, though given the spring conditions, we obviously didn´t use it.

The front desk staff, Leandro in particular, was helpful in every way - coordinating soccer tickets, restaurant reservations and recommending day trips.

The hotel location could not have been better. We were a few blocks from Plaza Serrano, a real hub of activity in Palermo SoHo. I also happen to be a yoga fan, and was thrilled to find a fabulous studio 1 block away on Costa Rica, www.valletierra.com.

The hotel was a bit more expensive than the competition, but you get what you pay for - this was an intimate boutique hotel experience, one which we cherished. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

“Great Boutique Hotel!”

Legado Mitico

Great hotel in Bs As.
Just 11 rooms, in a perfect location (just 1 block from the most of the stores and restaurants of Palermo).
Great staff. Good breakfast. Beautiful and spacious rooms...
I just giving 4 stars because my jacuzzis no not worked, but that was not a big problem to me (I stayed for just 3 nights).
The staff was very helpful and made all the reservations for me (airport transfers, restaurants, tango shows...).
The location couldn't be better, have so many great places to eat and shopping very close to that hotel (1 block away from stores like Lacoste, Nike, Adidas Originals..).
The hotel is very good and I will probably go back in my next visit to Buenos Aires.
I really enjoyed my stay at Legado Mitico!

“Lovely boutique property... working out some of the kinks still.”

We stayed in Legado Mitico last week during our weeklong trip to Argentina. Our trip was pretty last minute, so we were delighted to find this property through the great tripadvisor reviews. It is a 11-room boutique hotel located in a great area of BA called Palermo SoHo. I would stay here again, but I gave it 4 stars as it works out some of the kinks in its level of service and accomodations.

Pros:
--As I said, the hotel is in a great area. It's in Palermo Soho, one of the trendier areas of Buenos Aires. There are many boutique shops around the corner and the neighborhood is very colorful and fun to explore. If you are into the bar/club scene, Palermo has many options too.
--That said, the hotel is not bustling with activity. It is on a pretty secluded strip, set away from the noisy square.
--The hotel and the rooms were beautiful. It has a very intimate feeling to it. The restaurant/relaxation area looks like a living room. The rooms are have high-style decor. The hotel was newly renovated, so the marble in the bathrooms is brand new and the amenities in the room are modern. We stayed in the Evita deluxe room (the most expensive option) and had a great big 2-person soaking tub and a lovely, powerful shower, plus a double sink. There were hardwood floors and a sitting area in the room. Decor-wise, it was one of the more beautiful and spacious rooms I've stayed in.,
--The staff was friendly and always available. They took your key when you left for dinner, so that you didn't have to carry it with you. They remembered who you were when you returned and gave you the key back. Nice touch.
--They had a security guard out front, although I never felt the need for it.
--Free internet in the lobby.
--Free breakfast, which was good. Awesome croissants, good coffee. And all the guests came down around the same time (1030 am/11 am), so there was a nice community feel to it.

Cons:
--The bed was not comfortable. It was very, very hard. In fact, I am surprised that no one else here has mentioned it, as I assume that all the rooms have the same bed (or, if anything, the room we stayed in should have had one of the best beds). First, the bed was two twins pushed together. You couldn't feel the separation, which was good, but you could tell that it was two beds because of the way that the bed sagged in the middle of each twin. Second and more importantly, there was a "pillow" on top of the bed, but it's not what I, as an American, thinks of as a pillowtop. It's a thin layer of material. My husband and I wanted to reserve judgment on the bed until we stayed elsewhere in Argentina because we thought that perhaps Argentines just like harder beds so this was not unusual. But after staying at the Park Hyatt and Cavas Wine Lodge in Mendoza, this was by far the least comfortable. If Legado Mitico wants to compete with some of the nicer hotels in the city, they should maybe look into upgrading.
--I said above that the front desk staff was always willing to help. This was true. But we did have a few problems. When we first arrived, we asked that the front desk make reservations for us at a neighborhood steak house. I called down to verify the time on the reservations before leaving for the restaurant. They gave us directions on the way out. Yet, when we got to the restaurant, there were no reservations and, because it was a Saturday night, we couldn't get in to eat. We returned to the hotel to inquire. They called the restaurant and ultimately concluded that a mistake had been made by the hotel-- someone forgot to call. It turned out okay. We took a cab to another restaurant and the front desk staff was wonderful and accomodating in arranging this trip, but it was a slightly frustrating to start our night/visit.
--This is a smaller issue, but because the hotel is small and the bones of the hotel are old (even though the rooms are nicely renovated), we often could hear noises from the hallway and sometimes other rooms. I am a light sleeper so this was frustrating sometimes. But it wasn't so bad that it would be a deal breaker for me.

In all, I would recommend the hotel to friends and family. It is a lovely property with great staff that tries to accomodate you and your needs. The property is very pretty and, with the exception of the hard bed, one of the nicer rooms we have encountered.
