We heard that this restaurant was supposed to be wonderful but we thought the steak was just average.
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, an extensive wine list, and the service was very good.
My husband and I both ordered medium rare filets. I didn't think that they had a whole lot of flavor. We had much better steaks at a few restaurants in Barilcohe, Argentina and it was alot less expensive. I've eaten much better steaks here in Houston, TX. My husband ordered a baked potato as his side and I got the broccoli, which was served colder than it should have been.
This was the most expensive meal that we had in Argentina and it definitely was not worth the price. There has to be a better steak house in Buenos Aires than Cabanas las Lilas. Our entire meal, with a bottle of wine, ran $130 US- so still less than eating at a steak house here in Houston.
