Clean, quiet, comfortable and very reasonable rates allow any traveler staying at Reconquista Garden hotel to spend the money they save on either merchandise from the multitude of shops at the nearby pedestrian streets of Florida and LaValle or alternatively tipping the very friendly employees of the establishment. Faced with the fact that the Argentinian economy has to ride the wave of tourism to help get back on track, the intelligent majority in this city treat even non-Spanish speakers very well. Perhaps they are just a friendly people in general but some actions of the staff were above and beyond what I've ever experienced in past travels. For example, the evening front desk receptionist, Hernan Guerrero, came all the way to my room to assist me in making a long-distance phone call, (one that restored our cash flow and allowed the fun to continue). When eating at the fresh, savory (and included) breakfast buffet, the sweet girls working there brought me a cake for my birthday. And never have I had a cleaning room person leave me a thank you note for a 3 dollar tip. Location is superb as you can walk almost anywhere that matters and if not, it'll only be about 5 bucks max in a cab. If you're planning on a visit to Bs As and you'd rather return with more money in your new leather wallets, you can have a pristine, relaxing stay here and still have enough cash for a dinner or two at the Hotel de Alvear if you must.
