Perfect weekend at Four Seasons!!!
Hotel is very well located, close to the best spots in Buenos Aires. Staff is very, very friendly. Rooms are spacious and nicely furnished. I highly recommend Four Seasons!!! Made my weekend special!!
We loved our stay at The Four Seasons in Buenos Aires. The lobby, bar and restaurant are furnished with top quality materials and are elegant and perfect in every way.
We chose to stay here due to consistency in The Four Seasons brand and were not disappointed. We are native English speakers and this was a nice respite from the requirement that you speak Spanish in most of the rest of the city...almost all of the hotel employees can converse in English.
The stringent expectations of The Four Seasons training of their employees is evident at this property and we felt like of all of The Four Seasons we have visited, the staff here is in a class by itself.....truly exceeded our expectations. The room was well appointed, clean, comfortable and nicely furnished (only complaint is that the carpeting in the room is becoming worn).
We took a private tour of Buenos Aires on a recommendation of the concierge and this was one of the highlights of our 3 nights here (tour guide Roberto Blanc speaks flawless English, is highly educated and knowledgeable about the city) which took 4 hours. He gave us a great feel for the history, architecture, politics and cultural pulse of different areas of the city. We didn't eat in the restaurant so cannot comment on that. My travel companion was very impressed with the fitness center...said the equipment was new and that the trainers were very helpful.
We were flying out on an overnight flight and were able to book the hotel during the daytime after arriving from an early morning flight (checked in at 11:00 am and checked out at 6:00). so that we didn't have to spend the day in the airport. You must contact the hotel directly for this...they cannot always accomodate depending on bookings coming in the evenings.
The area surrounding the property (La Recoleta) is the one of the wealthier areas in Buenos Aires. We always felt safe wandering around during the days. There is upscale shopping and fine dining nearby. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.
If I visit Buenos Aires again, I would not hesitate to return to The Four Seasons....it is a perfect package in a perfect city.
Having stayied ath Alvear and Park Hyatt, I am absolutely sure that the FS is the best in town. Rooms are spacious, quiet and well kept. Service will hardly be matched by european or north-american conterparts. Fantastic stay. Only one negative point: For a hotel of this level of superb quality, the restaurant is not cozy. I wouldn't say it is bad, but it is not the kind of place you would like to go to end your night.
Was lucky enough to stay for 7 days on business at this stunning hotel in the most beautiful district.
Great location with a selection of restaurants and designer shops on your doors step - but more middle of the road options and markets just 15mins away on foot. Rooms and facilities were great just wish I had visited in their summer so I could enjoy the pool!
Spent four nights here - and can say with confidence that it was the most enjoyable stay at a hotel I've had... I've enjoyed Spa properties more - and the Four Seasons Paris is remarkable - but given the price I paid for an executive preferred suite (much less than the most basic room in Paris) this is my favorite hotel...
The positives are many - breakfast was the best I had in South America - the concierge was up to par with other Four Seasons properties, which is to say excellent. My floor had a lounge that had two computers with free internet access, and free drinks. I loved the bar - had drinks before dinner one night - and was offered delcious taster foods - smoked salmon - then had drinks after dinner another night and was offered little taster desserts. The doorman addressed me by name each time I arrived and left the hotel.
A couple of suggestions - we went to a Boca Junior soccer match - the concierge organized it for us - cost was about $80 US - definitely an experience I'd recommend. Second - we went to a tango show at the Faena hotel - I'd also highly recommend this. Unfortunately I'd have to agree with other posters on this board about the Four Seasons Tango show - it is to be avoided. A great stay - would recommend to anyone...
