Originally booked at Kempinski Chateau Park Hotel and on our arrival, was told that there were no rooms available. After several minutes of arguing, agreed to be "upgraded" to the Kempinski Park Plaza. Needless to say, I was a little upset as I had read that this hotel chain had a habit of transferring their clients to one of their other properties. However, after being sent to the Kempinski Park Plaza (cab at the hotel's expense), our treatment by staff was excellent, our room, although a little shabby, was extremely quiet, the bedding of top quality linen and a very sufficient breakfast available. Yes, the elevator was "unique" but isn't that why you travel the world -to have experiences that one doen't have at home? Staff was very kind, bringing us chocolates to our room, after we had
experienced an attempted "holdup" on 9 de Julio at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. All in all, a very satisfactory stay.
