the good location is the only positive thing about this hotel
the rooms are noisy and not well maintained -- and the tiny elevator is a permanent trap
at breakfast nothing is good quality (not even the coffe) and nothing gets replaced when it is finished
the staff is rude and unhelpful
the people at reception only only make themselves available to you at departure when they try to convince you to get in one of their taxis (obviosly everpriced) from which they probably get a commission
i am surprised that this hotel still bears the kempinski name and that it is still offered by sevealr websites with good reputation
shame on Alejandro Servan Valdes the general manager who let this interesting property becomes the classic TOURIST TRAP!!!

I was looking for a 4-star hotel, and that's how this one is rated on Expedia. Before booking, several months ago, I checked the reviews here on TripAdvisor and they were fine. Later on new reviews were added that suggested problems with this hotel. I'm sorry to say that I feel that these recent reviews are correct. This hotel is certainly not a 4-star (indeed here on TripAdvisor it is only 3-star; I would rate it 2.5). The hotel is small, the rooms are just OK, certainly nothing luxurious. Breakfast had very little selection - very different from hotels in Europe - maybe this is the standard in Argentina, it's my first time here. Also annoying that they would charge US$14 per day for Internet access, however we avoided that by using a strong-enough unsecured WiFi signal that reached in from a neighboring building.

The bathroom had extremely limited space for personal toiletries. The cold-water handle of the bidet could hardly be turned and when forced made a terrible noise like a fire alarm.

There was a small bar in the room with a little brass sink but apparently this was only decoration as there was no water coming out of the faucet.

The concierge was really very nice and helpful, and so were the bar/breakfast attendants. But the front desk clerk (small desk; one clerk; long line) was unpleasant, bothered, and outright rude to some.

This was my first stay at a Kempinski and it did not leave a good impression. Not worth the price paid. I won't be seeking this brand in future travel.

Yes, it's true. The hotel will sell you a room at this property and, when you arrive, not honor your reservation. They will insist your room is not available. Then they will place you at another one of their lesser-priced properties. The hotel will not refund you the difference ("because you already paid through Expedia", they say) and instead will comp you one meal.

When we asked why we were able to book a room that was not in inventory, we were told that it's because the Kempinski doesn't operate on a real-time reservation system. When the guy at reception informed us that our pre-paid room was unavailable, he was totally unapologetic, even after we called him on the fact that we'd read online that the hotel habitually sells more rooms than they knowingly have available. He simply nodded and said "Yes."

I wonder how long they'll be able to continue to run this distasteful scam on their guests. Book at your own risk!

As soon as you arrive, the hotel will tell you that there is a plumbing problem. DO NOT believe them, they are LYING to you. We read reviews about this but we thought maybe they would be different when we arrived. They will tell you the floor is flooded and that the hotel is full, then want to send you to a really awful hotel which they claim is "good." We had to argue with them for about 45 mins until they let us stay (which means they were clearly lying to us in the first place because they managed to make a room available) and we couldn't check-in for another hour while they "cleaned" the room. This hotel is sketchy, STAY AWAY!!
