what a fantastic holiday. Arrived late at night porters carried our luggage to our rooms we had 504 and 502 which near reception and handy for pool. Rooms cleaned every day reception staff fantastic could not do enough for you. Food not my choice but i am fussy and eating out was cheap try mexican or steakhouse well worth it. Namma Bay and beach 10 min walk this was no problem.Would definatly go back.

Well, it was a terrible experience for me & for my family, the room was very bad, very far from the main entrance, there wasn't any towels when we first checked in, the toilette wasn't working correctly, the water coming from the shower - only !!!!!!! - was very very dirty as drain water, OMG, u cant imagine how hard that was & even worse we found a lot of small ants inside the room !!!!!! can u imagine, i couldn't believe what I was seeing, all this plus the TV was not working as well, long story short this room - and the rooms beside it - weren't ready at all 2 have guests yet. Then when we complained of course they offered us another room with clean water, very noisy broken AC & 2 tiny little beds (the smallest beds I've ever seen inside a hotel room) & we booked a triple room ! so we had to stay in this horrible room because we were three, but what made me really mad is the attitude of the receptionist he was extremely rude & beyond. The food wasn't that bad but the desserts were terrible, I even had a stomach ache & diarrhea on the second day (all my family too).
Don't go i assure u, u will regret it

“Clean, Central & Cheap”

Tropicana Rosetta Hotel

I stayed at the Tropicanna Rosetta in 2006 for a fortnight. On arrival at 2am, the porter kindly helped us to our room with our bags, then stuck his hand out for a tip!! This is common in Egypt, everyone expects a tip!

The room was really big, with a separate lounge area, bedroom and kitchen, we also had two big balcony's overlooking the gorgeous pool! We stayed in room 1609 which was really far from Reception. That was a right pain as it was on top of a really horrible, steep hill! The one main thing I disliked was the bathroom. It only had a shower (No bath) and the cubicle was tiny! Lighting wasn't very good either (Really dim). The air conditioning was AMAZING and best of all, was FREE!

We stayed on a Bed & Breakfast basis and ate breakfast in the hotel only a couple of times. On one of those occasions, my partner found a piece of glass in his beans! I personally didn't rate the breakfast anyway but I'm a fussy eater.

The housekeepers were brilliant, they cleaned the room EVERY DAY! Providing us with fresh towels and linen every couple of days. On one occasion we arrived to find a small cup of flowers in the middle of our table - Aww!

The hotel was situated quite close to Naama Bay, me and my partner walked there most days (It only took us 10 minutes). Whoever takes a taxi there is just pure lazy! It's across the road!!

To sum it up, The Tropicana Rosetta was clean, central and cheap! I'd definitely stay there again.

Were do I start, ok, the weather was fantastic! We didn’t see one cloud in the whole ten days of our stay. It can get a bit to hot from around 12pm till 3pm, “don’t plan any outdoor adventures between these times” you will find the heat can be overwhelming, even for a young couple. Me and my girlfriend are both in our early twenty’s and we both struggled. The hotel is nice and clean and I found all the staff sound. We were in the new part of the hotel and it is a long way from main reception and exit to the beach, shops etc. it’s also very UN even all up hill so I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for any people who has got any walking disabilities. Combined with the heat it’s almost impossible. From main reception the beach is a five minute walk, cross the road (be extremely careful) it’s a busy road and they are probably the worst drivers in the world, and don’t panic when the taxis keep beeping at you and stopping next to you, just shake your head and say no thank you, or just ignore them. Then cut through the Hilton hotel and you’re on the beach front. Turn right to go to namma bay. Namma bay is about 10-15 mins walk away from main reception. If you do get a taxi do not pay no more than 30 Egyptian pounds to go to Namma bay! That’s £3. and always get the taxi driver to drop you off on the other side of the road at the taxi rank because they have deals with shop keepers and they drop you of to these people who try and get you in their shops. Again don’t panic just keep walking and say no thank you. We soon learnt if we stopped it was very difficult to get away so keep walking and they will leave you alone. If they do persuade you DO not sign the book for them! They won’t let you go in till you pay them! Again just say no thank you. You will get hassled quite a lot in town my advice is just smile and keep walking. And stick to the main streets. Comment sense drink loads of water!!! We drank around 5 litres a day each. Food is very cheap a decent meal for two was around 180 Egyptian with drinks that’s £18. the Mexican in town is top draw. Sorry lads the beer is only a little bit cheaper than here! We both really enjoyed pirates bar based in the Hilton. The people in their were really nice. We spent some fantastic nights in there. Its very common to get a bug in Egypt we both did and 90% of the hotel had it to. Again don’t panic just go to the pharmacy and tell them you got the [--] etc. and he will sort you out. All the locals kept telling me how lucky I was to have my partner she tall blonde and gorgeous, I felt like saying “well you ent got to be with her when shes got the [--]” I couldn’t get rid of the fly’s…… make sure you do as many trips as possible we loved the quad biking in the desert!!! And all the boat trips were fantastic. We booked with red sea star just on the beach front there really nice, again don’t ever pay the first price you get offered at least half it that goes for every thing.

Over all it was a great experience and we both would defiantly go back remember folks a holiday is what you make it! Hope you find this useful.

“Great Hotel - Great Holiday”

If your heading of to the Tropicana Rosetta Hotel, Sharm El-Sheikh anytime soon then your in for a treat.

My partner and I arrived back this morning and already we are pining to be back by the pool in the sun with the incredibly relaxed atmosphere that surrounds Sharm and the Rosetta hotel.

The hotel itself is brilliant, much better than it's three star rating, the room was a decent size, cleaned everyday and not one sign of any bugs or creepy crawly s, with air conditioning a mini fridge and a decent shower, what more could you ask for of a room that you only use to sleep and get ready in.

The pool was lovely, one of the best I have seen, the days we spent by the pool were perfect..... Amazing sun shine, shade were needed and a nice refreshing pool you could dip into whenever. The bar offered a selection of food and drink, and a top notch waiter by the name of Luca ( had to mention him as he was so helpful and friendly, put a smile on your face every time he came to speak to you.)

We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant as we were bed and breakfast (breakfast being from 7 - 10 we never made it.) But as there were so many amazing restaurants in Naama Bay we were glad that we had not gone all inclusive. However we heard that the food in the hotel was nice enough.

Naama Bay is just 5 mins walk away from the hotel and has the most relaxed atmosphere i've ever experienced. Beer is cheap but spirits and wine not so, but the food is so cheap and lovely with a huge variety. The maximum we paid for a dinner for two was £25 and £9 of that was for two coronas ( we couldn't resist.)
We were told before we arrived that the locals pestered you beyond belief, but from my experience this wasn't the case. A simple NO, or ignoring them was enough for them to leave you alone. It by no means stopped us going out at all.

The locals out and in the hotel were fantastic, they just could not do enough to help you and make your holiday one to remember. They also seem to love us English, as we found we often had different (cheaper) prices than the other nationalities who were there.

We went camel riding, star gazing, snorkling (which was out of this world), sight seeing in Luxor ( 35% of the world monuments are here, and would reccommend this trip rather than cairo.) Quad biking, plenty of relaxing, eating or smoking one of their famous shesha pipes (which are definately worth giving a go.)

Overall the best holiday I have ever been on and if your heading there soon I can only say I wish i was going with you. But we will definately be going back there soon enough.

Happy Holidays.
