After our long flights to get to Belize we found it to be a lovely place to come and get oriented to the country before heading to the interior and then to the cayes. We went to 2 nice Chinese restaurants nearby, and a local one around the corner on the waterfront and enjoyed them all. It's an easy walk to the supermarket where there is anything one might need. We bought ponchos and books by Belizean authors and CD's. We took the local bus to the city and came back for our final night and were delivered to the airport by Francoise, the very friendly owner. Very nice breakfasts and helpful friendly staff.

We stayed at Villa Boscardi our first night in Belize. Our family of four had a large comfortable and clean room with 2 queen beds. Francoise was a very friendly host and we enjoyed hearing her many stories and the places she has lived around the world. Villa Boscardi has a nice courtyard with some beautiful flowers. We spent our evening outside in the courtyard playing with Francoise's two dogs and making good use of her chess board! Breakfast in the morning was delicious and filling. We would certainly recommend the Villa Boscardi for when you need to stay near the airport or in Belize City.

This B&B was very comfortable. Francoise and her staff of one do their very best at making you comfortable and well fed for breakfast. Our family of four stayed in the larger room with two queen beds. Air conditioned and containing it's own bathroom, very nice for a B&B, by the way. We would highly recommend it for the price!

Villa Boscardi is a nice B&B in a neighborhood setting. We stayed in a detached cottage/room, which was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was extremely tasty. Francoise is an excellent and friendly host and she took us to the airport for US $20.

We only stayed in Belize City for one night since we were flying out the next day. While Villa Boscardi was nice and well-cared-for, the surrounding neighborhood was quite rough. My husband and I decided to get our dinner to go rather than eat at the restaurant and have to walk back in the dark. The streets aren't that well lit. We had dinner at the Italian place close-by and do not recommend it. After all of the fabulous food we had had around Belize over the previous two weeks, this restaurant disappointing. I would recommend having Francoise call a cab to take you to some of the better known restaurants in Belize City.
