Embassy Suites Hotel Atlanta Alpharetta

Service, Service, Service and Location, Location Location. We booked a weekend get away and from the moment we entered the parking lot we were pampered. Great, cheerful and helpful front desk staff. The suite we had was large and clean. The bed was so comfortable! The Embassy Suites is known for their free breakfast and evening reception. This particular hotel had a great selection of snacks at the evening reception and the breakfast was very satisfying. The breakfast attendants were very accommodating as we had several special requirements for the preparation of our food. All the workers were very sincere and helpful. The indoor pool was the highlight of my kids stay. The pool is a decent size and has a very spacious, comfortable area to relax by as we watched the kids play.

We were able to walk to a great restaurant nearby (there are so many to choose from). The kids had a lot of options too... Andretti Speed Lab, Chucky Cheese, 2 Movie theatres a roller rink and the North Point Mall. My daughter loved the American Girl Store! This hotel is a very good value and we will always stay at this hotel.

“Good location, good sized, but strong breakfast smell”

Embassy Suites Hotel Atlanta Alpharetta

2 of 5 stars
Buffalo, New York
Oct 7, 2008

Spent two nights at the Embassy on business. Easy to find and just a block or two off GA-400. Took about 40 minutes from the Atlanta airport at 10PM.

Check-in was quick and efficient. The gentleman working the desk was courteous and friently. Disappointed in the poor selections of snack items (we didn't have dinner) in their store - only candy, butter popcorn, two Hot Pockets (I wasn't that hungry) and no water.

Room was good sized as most Embassy Suites are. The sitting area had a desk, couch, sitting chair, and coffee table. There was a microwave and coffee maker in the room. The bedroom had a King Bed (very comfortable) and a chair. Was surprised at the limited and hard to get at outlets to plug in computer and phone in the bedroom. Room was clean! Thought the furniture though not dirty, appeared outdated. Also, the living room area was very dark as it is the inside room. A pet peeve of mine is when hotels limit the TV channel options as the Embassy did in the hopes of having you order a movie. Only about 10 stations.

On the first morning in the hotel I was awoken by a strong smell of bacon at 5:15AM. At first it was pleasant, but as time went on the smell permeated the entire room and became nauseating. I could not go back to sleep due to overwhelming bacon odor and ended up going downstairs (my room was on the sixth floor). Unfortunately it was not just my room impacted by the smell, but my business associates that morning were all talking about it. On the second morning, though breakfast could be smelled again, it was not nearly as strong as it was the day before, however, don't believe guests should have to smell it at all in their rooms.

Breakfast offerering was nice, but must say that due to the overwhelming smell earlier in the morning I did not eat much. Had both hot (including made-to-order omlettes and eggs) and cold breakfast items.

“Great Service and Breakfast!”

Embassy Suites Hotel Atlanta Alpharetta

4 of 5 stars
Springfield, Virginia
Sep 30, 2008

We chose the Embassy Suites for our guests attending my son's wedding at the nearby Mansell House. We got a great rate per room if guests booked at least two weeks before the wedding date. Everyone was very happy with their stay and room. Several in our group enjoyed the indoor pool and workout room. The chefs preparing breakfast did a wonderful job with omlets, eggs, pancakes, etc. There was something for everyone to eat in our group (ages 3-87).

The only imperfections were that one of their elevators broke down on Friday and stayed broken all weekend. The desk clerk was not as helpful on Saturday and Sunday as the regular week desk clerks.

The hotel is close to shopping and restaurants and was easy for our guests to find since many arrived at night from the Atlanta airport. There was plenty of parking as well.

I highly recommend this hotel for large groups and regular guests. We spent 5 days at the hotel and were very pleased. We also found the cleaning staff did an excellent job.

“Great Location”

Embassy Suites Hotel Atlanta Alpharetta

4 of 5 stars
Southwest Florida
Jul 13, 2008

The hotel rooms are nice size, the bed was very comfortable and the room was furnished adequately but the walls were very thin. We were able to hear the young boys next door and most of the guests took pleasure in SLAMMING their doors at all hours of the day and night! We found the noise from the lobby to be very LOUD in the afternoons and we were on the 5th floor. The front desk staff were very friendly upon check in and check out. We had to call the front desk twice and each time our problems (foul language being yelled constantly by the yound boys next door and a continually running toilet) were resolved quickly. The hotel is located near a major mall and great restaurants within walking distance. We will probably stay at the hotel again in the future.

“Front desk - over and above”

Embassy Suites Hotel Atlanta Alpharetta

Business trip from 4/14 - 4/16 Check in was smooth Keith and Herman were professional with lots of energy and good cheer. I asked about a gym Keith pointed me to their newly refurbished Precor Fitness Center 3 tread mills and 2 ellipticals that are brand new; 2 benches, and dumb bells up to 50 lbs. You rarely see this in a hotel fitness center, and it was wide open bright and clean. Rooms are typical Embassy suites arranged around a central atrium. The room was spacious suite - the colors are a little dark and the lights a little dim, but otherwise it was clean, bathroom is large, the bed is comfortable. While settling in the front desk called and said he overheard us talking about working late hours. Keith took the initiative to call and ask if he could delay housekeeping for us in the morning... Now when was the last time someone took the extra step to do that! Breakfast was great made to order eggs and the usual other suspects - all good. Didn't get a chance to do the Managers special - read free drinks, but went to the bar later that night - pleasant, with good food. My only complaint was room service trays were left for long periods of times outside the room doors. They would still be there in the morning - kinda gross to look at as you walk down for breakfast.
