“Beware!!!! No Parking Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

I am writing this review because I want to spare even one person from going through all the trouble I had with this Econo Lodge near Disneyland Resort. I booked a single night at this motel because I had a ton of points from my "Choice Privileges Rewards Program" from staying at several Choice properties in 2007. We had gone up to LA, approx. 100 miles from my home, to see a few museums and treat the kids to a night in Disney. I had checked into this motel at around 5pm on Sat, Jan. 12 and had no problem parking to check in or when I moved my car down to a parking spot near my room #. After 2 hours or so, we decided to go over to Downtown Disney to catch a movie and some dinner. We came back to our motel at around 11pm and could not find ONE place to park my minivan. There were 3 cars that were double-parked (literally parked right over the center of the white line that divides two parking spots). I left my car in the middle of the lot and went inside the office to ask David, the desk person, where he suggested I park my car. He told me, "to try and fit in between two cars" and he went outside with me and briskly walked up and down the lot looking for a spot for me. Of course, none of them were large enough because they were 1/2 way taken up by other cars. I asked him if he can contact one of the RUDE guests who had double-parked to move so I can fit in there. He went back to the office and tried looking up the license plate numbers so he could call the owners. He then told me he was very sorry but none of the cars that were double-parked were registered with the motel. I told him they should then be towed!!! He replied that he thinks his staff who was there in the earlier afternoon failed to obtain license plate info on some guests and that is probably why he couldnt find the owners. He then told me to "Double-Park" behind some of the already parked cars or park my van in the driveway of the motel. Not only is this illegal, it's against fire code and dangerous and totally inconvenient. Please be careful if you chose this motel!! I had 5 kids in my car ranging from age 16 down to 1 year old and they had to sit in there for well over an hour and 1/2 while I fough with DAVID to get my Choice Privileges points back because I had to "check out" of that place and go find a new hotel at 1am. He was not very helpful, empathetic or even friendly about it. He treated the situation as if he did the best he could and he was offering me parking (even tho illegal) and there was nothing more he could do for me and that I should go find a new place to stay. He advised that since I had already checked into the motel using my 6000 points, I would lose them if I left and I had to call choice rewards myself and have them call him and straighten the points thing out. This was a totally inconvenient thing to happen and I hope you guys will read this and head my warning! Please do not trust this property if you arrive after around 7 or 8pm at night. Please contact me with any ?s or comments. Thank you.

“Stay away got scabies”

Econo Lodge Maingate

We stayed at this motel, room 210, and we killed a bug in the bed. I think it was a bedbug but I'm not sure.
2 weeks later we all had to be treated for scabies. this was very expensive and I asked that they pay half of medicine and half of MD visits. Dorina, Manager, can't authorize that she has to talk to owner. 2 1/2 weeks later I call her, because she is ignoring my e-mail. and she offers me 1/2 of what we paid for our room. Because "this is a condition you get from people to people contact" However, it gets in the mattresses and bedding and pillows etc. She (Dorina) assured me she had no other complaints and they vacuum the rooms and wash the bedding between each customer in hot water. The cleaning lady was next door when we arrived and I only saw sheets and towels in her cart. NO blankets or bedspreads or pillows.
I called the 800 # to get their phone # so I could call and Michelle that I talked to there was very rude and assured me that she couldn't help me with the reimbursement. And all I asked her for was their phone #.
The pool and the hot tub had enough sand and leaves in the bottom you might as well have went to the beach.
The carpet and mattress was stained. Tub had a black ring in it. I have seen cleaner rest areas along the freeway.
By the way if you stay here don't expect any help from the corporate office, they just tell you that it is independantly owned and opperated and they will forward you to the Manager. Who won't help you.

I thought this hotel was good and it was for us, but not anymore since I am home. The last stay a man asked our visa card and go to the back away from his desk, now a month later we know he is the one who gave our code to a person in saoudi arabia and that friend of the man is having all our money now and our bank account is empty, please be carefull with visa cards people

“Bed Bugs, Would NOT Recommend To Anybody”

Bed Bugs, need I say more? (see the picutres of one of the bed bugs and the stained mattress) The worst hotel experience ever! I'm not sure if you've ever been bitten by bed bugs, but it is Not a pleasant experience. First, after showing the front office lady the bug bites all over my body (I stopped counting at 20), I was told that they were fleas and that I brought them in. It wasn't until the exterminator showed up and confirmed that they were indeed bed bugs and that the mattress needed to be thrown away, that the receptionist gave us a different room.

Simply unbelievable! I regret trying to save a couple of bucks and staying at this dump. Worst service ever, and worst hotel experience ever. I did learn something new from the front office lady, no matter how much you are at fault, blame it on the customer.

“Would stay there again.”

The room is larger than most hotel rooms. The room had a coffee pot, blow dryer, refrigerator & safe and you can pay $5.00 a day to have a microwave. Don't forget your shampoo, conditioner or lotion because you won't find any in your room. The bathroom is the only place it could use some help but compared to a lot of hotels that are much more expensive it was up to par. If you are staying here to visit Disneyland you will need to plan on driving to the park or taking the Anaheim shuttle (which cost $3.00 per day per person). It is not that far but after a day at the park you would not want to walk back to the hotel. If you purchase your hotel stay through Hotwire you will have to pay a resort fee of approx. $5.00 a day when you arrive. The breakfast consists of sweet rolls, juice, hot chocolate & coffee. We did not use the pool but it looked fine. The parking is very limited and confined. I would not want to bring our big truck and try to park it in there. The men that worked the office were very friendly and helpful. For the price ($67.00+) I would stay here again.
