This is a great hotel, clean, quiet, decent price and the staff are excellent. What more could you want. It is close to Angels Stadium, Honda Center and of course Disneyland.
We stayed here to attend a concert event at the Honda Center. We were able to walk there in about 15-20 minutes, saving ourselves from parking and traffic headaches.
One of the reviewers complained about the trains - yes there are train tracks off in the distance behind the hotel but they certainly didn't bother us at all.
I would definitely stay there again.

We booked over the net after the Tripadvisor review. We came in after a 14 hour trans Pacific flight. Nice size rooms and big kitchen. Free wifi. Near Maccas and on bus route up to Albertsons for groceries. Can catch the shuttle ($3 A, $1 kids for whole day) to Disneyland at the door. We even walked to Disneyland on the first day. Overall neat, good size, pleasant and convenient at a very good price.

We stayed at the TownPlace Suites in Anaheim for three nights in late April 2008 while visiting Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure. We booked our studio suite on the Marriott site, and paid for one night ($99) and used hotel "miles" for two more nights. The key here is the price we paid, for the room we had: it was an unambiguously great deal.

Just off Katella on State College, the TownPlace Suites is convenient to just about everything out-of-towners are likely to want. It is less than a five minute drive to or from Disneyland (once you figure out the directions getting in and out of the park, anyway). There are several services close by, and numerous restaurants along Katella as well.

As others have noted, the hotel is virtually ON the train tracks, and I admit, I heard the trains howling by at times -- but it wasn't so bad it woke us up. Still, if your hotel has a candy-dish full of earplugs on the check-in desk, you have to ask yourself how sound a sleeper you are. After long days at Disney, we had no problems ourselves.

The room itself is very utilitarian -- way down the Marriott scale, with cheap but serviceable fixtures, a small kitchenette, a compact bathroom, etc. Our room had a comfortable queen bed and a serviceable pull-out sofa bed, so it worked fine for our family of four (two kids, 8 and 10, shared the sofabed without complaint. They were really tired). The convenience of an ensuite kitchen more than made up for the ticky-tacky room quality. Again, a great value.

I stayed for 2 nights here where the rooms and service met up with other Marriott properties I have stayed in the past. Like the other reviews here, the only issue here was hearing the train whistle. As I grew up close to a train crossing, hearing it didn't bother me but I could see how someone not used to it could be really shaken by the experience.

Other than that, they offer a value-filled room with kitchenette, a well-equipped one at that. Similar to Residence Inn properties, there's a fridge, dishwasher, sink, and stove along with some basic cookware and utensils. This property even had a food disposal unit.

As much as there was a bed, living area, bathroom, kitchenette, and work desk, there really wasn't much place to sit down and eat for more than one person. I suppose a group of people could eat in the living area but I wouldn't find it all that comfortable.

The services available in the lobby were fantastic, there a computer with free internet AND free printing (although there's a 30-minute time limit to be fair to other guests). There's also complimentary coffee available all day and even a map of the general area where the attractions, shopping, and restaurants are listed.
