“Awesome Stay”

Fairfield Inn Anaheim Disneyland

Aug 4, 2008

After researching several hotels we finally decided on the Fairfield Inn on a friend’s recommendation. We almost decided on the Howard Johnson, which is located a little further down the street, but are really glad we didn’t as they are a little too far after a long day at Disney. Myself, husband and two kids (ages 8 and 10) stayed at the Fairfield Inn for four nights and the location is great, just a short walk to Disney. The best place to view the fireworks is the 9th floor. The check in/out was fine, nothing special about the front desk staff. The hotel is clean and inviting with really soft comfortable beds that are great after a long day. The lemonade and lemon water in the lobby was great, loved that after a swift walk. The maid service was great and cleaned our room every day. One thing that is not great is the parking!! There are not enough spaces, which we found out after attending the Medieval Times late show arriving back around 9:30pm. So don’t move your car if you don’t have too, but the Medieval Times was worth the hassle, it’s AWESOME, the kids are still talking about that!! We plan on visiting Disney again and will definitely stay here, priceline had the best price at $126.00 a night.

Check in and out was very easy. Staff was polite but not overly friendly. A nice touch was the lemon and lime water provided in the lobby. It was refreshing after the short walk to and from DisneyLand. The location was great. We ate breakfast at McDonalds on our way to Disneyland. Pizza Hut was right in the building. The room was typical for a Fairfield Inn. Clean, secure, great beds, but not much room. When you are in the park all day you just come back, shower and go right to bed, so square footage doesn't really matter. We didn't use the pool but it looked very small. If you want swimming as an option I would look elswhere. We would stay here again if we return to the Disneyland area.

“Second stay - still happy with it”

Fairfield Inn Anaheim Disneyland

This was the second stay for the 3 of us (wife and 4 year old son) and we once again enjoyed our stay. This time we were joined by 6 other family members who also stayed at the Fairfield.
Check-in was early and lucky that our room was ready - the other two had to wait till normal 3-4pm check-in time.
We got a fireworks view (step outside the door and look out the railing) and the hotel is convienently located to the entrance to Disneyland.
Room was clean and was kept exceptionally clean during our stay. This time we did make use of the Pizza Hut/pantry on the third floor - had pizza, wings, muffins, coffee, etc.
While we didn't use the outdoor pool, it seemed not to be overcrowded every time we walked by including later in the evening.
Overall, good stay and would definately recommend for families.

“Clean and perfect location”

Fairfield Inn Anaheim Disneyland

Jul 27, 2008

What we have here is an older motel but with some updating - so outside halls, doors, rooms and baths look like an older motel. Updating re the new all white cotton bedding is nice and curved shower rail etc.
Food court is ridiculously small for hotel this size. We got no maid service at all during our two night stay.
Our bill with tax was I think over $350 which might seem a lot for an older motel...
However the location is GREAT. It was clean, pool is bland rectangular in the side of the parking lot, but nicely landscaped. Free parking. Ten minute walk max to Disney ticket office. easy to go back for a break during the door.
So what you pay for is location - totally worth it we thought - and it seems reliably clean and safe which isn't clear at some of the other hotels in this row of hotels.

“Won't stay there again”

Fairfield Inn Anaheim Disneyland

3 of 5 stars
Seattle, Washington
Jul 24, 2008

1. The front desk clerks had cold & sterile attitudes.
2. The concierge/travel clerk was actually very helpful and nice
when my husband's wallet was lost during our stay.
3. The walls are "paper thin": The people next door had a "bratty
kid" who kept screaming and crying at her parents when
she didn't get what she wanted (a six year old, not a baby)
4. The beds were very comfortable, but had to grab the spare
blanket because it was cold in the room (air conditioner was
off).
5. Coffee maker was a joke. It looked like a mini & cheap
version of a "Senseo One Shot" machine.

Overall, it just didn't meet mine & my husband's expections despite of the reviews we had read prior to booking the hotel. If we do visit Disneyland again, we won't be staying there again.
